Summary: He’s following our every step through life to make sure we arrive home safely. He’s watching over our lives so that we will reach our final destination.

He is watching over you…

Psalm 121:7-8 says that “The LORD will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”

I was reading a story about a little boy who was looking forward to the birthday party of a friend who lived only a few blocks away. But on the day of the party, a blizzard made the sidewalks and roads impassable. The father hesitated to let his son go. The youngster pleaded, “But Dad, “all the other kids will be there. Their parents are letting them go.” The father thought for a moment, then replied softly, “All right, you may go.”

Surprised but overjoyed, the boy bundled up and plunged into the raging storm. The driving snow made visibility almost impossible, and it took him more than half an hour to trudge the short distance to the party. As he rang the doorbell, he turned briefly to look out into the storm. His eye caught the shadow of a retreating figure. It was his father. He had followed his son’s every step to make sure he arrived safely!

That’s exactly what God is doing for us! He’s following our every step through life to make sure we arrive home safely. He’s watching over our lives so that we will reach our final destination. I love the book of Ruth with just four chapters found in the Old Testament of the Bible. Though from a idol worship back ground, she decides to cling to her mother-in-law Naomi who had been her channel to know of the True Living God. Her words in Ruth 1:16” Where you die, I will die, and there will I be buried. The Lord do so to me, and more also, if anything but death parts you and me” certainly touched God, who made note of her faith filled words. He watched over her life and took her to the right field which belonged to Boaz whom she eventually married. Dear friend, listen to me, when you surrender your life to Jesus, He watches over you, takes care of you and orchestrates everything in His perfect and impeccable timing. We see the Invisible Hand of God protecting the young widow Ruth in every area of her life!

I am speaking to someone out there! Hear me out! If you have accepted Jesus and walked into His Protective Wings, He would never forsake you, believe me, you are safe.

There was a time in my life during the initial days of our Ministry when I had just two days time to pay my daughter’s school fees, we were trusting God right from our day to day expenses; both my husband and me resigned our secular jobs and joined the Lord’s work. On that particular day, I knelt in my prayer room and I was praying for the funds. On the same day, we received the exact amount that we needed through ‘postal money order’. Remember, He is watching over you!

Wish you all a blessed and gorgeous New Year – 2015!
