He That Believeth

Summary: Believing alone will not get you to heaven, it is who you believe on.
He That Believeth
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

There are many teachings, types of religions that teach about various man made gods for man to believe on and still inherit heaven. Some religions don’t practice that there is in fact a heaven and a hell.
There are over 20 major religions in the world.
Almost every ancient civilization has worshiped the sun.
Many believers are Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims and etc.
Many look to other people and other ways to get to heaven.
Today there are those who are worshiping the sun, moon, stars, trees, plants, animals, all of creation, but not the creator.
There are those looking to and worshiping other men and false gods instead of looking to the only true and living God.
Undoubtedly these people believe just as the open text implies but it is what they are believing upon that is wrong.

This scripture when taken alone would give one the impression that you just have to believe, but on what?

15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Man is to believe the gospel in order to be saved.

How can I be made righteous and by whom?
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Belief alone will not get you to heaven. But believing ON Jesus Christ will. Even yet it takes more than just believing, though faith is what it takes. But there must be a relationship with Christ, resulted from a life changing experience with Him. It starts with faith, you must believe that Jesus is who he says he is, that he did die for the sin of the world, and that if you ask for his forgiveness, his blood will cleanse you from all your sin. It begins with faith but ends with a relationship.
C.
How can Christ’ blood cleanse me?
He was born of a virgin-his blood was pure, no sin in it. He took on Adam’s flesh but not Adam’s blood.
I Jn 1:7
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
