Hiding In The Midst of Guilt
The details that the writer projects reveals a phenomenal revelation regarding the hiding of one’s guilt; he writes with contextual premises concerning the unraveled sin of Adam and Eve; particularly Adam because the responsibility of maintaining dominion over the earth was set before him, but because of his lack of awareness we are now fully aware of our own nakedness or rather our Guilt.
Adam and Eve are seen here hiding in the midst of their guilt because of the sin of commission was being uncovered before the eyes of them both, but Adam has to step up and take responsibility for the act of his wife, because God had positioned him to be the set man, not because he was that great but because he was available. Now you find them hiding from their shame simply because they are guilty.
How many of you today will admit that for a long time you have been trying to duck God because you were 100% wrong and you have been strategic in hiding, putting on the finest you have to cover up your nakedness (Guilt). You have amused everyone and everywhere that you have been but in the midst of it all at the end of the day you yet have to deal with the real you. Brothers and Sisters, God already knows that you’re hiding in the midst of your guilt because he hears your response; he hears the response that is indicative of your actions.
Today we can learn that it is not necessary to hide in the midst of our guilt when God as sovereign as he is can handle our inadequacies, failures and even our sins. Paul wrote in Romans 3:23: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. In the Greek All = All – In the Hebrew All = All.
Today is your day to get up and dust yourselves off and come out of hiding. You have a right to live an abundant life. John 10:10 says: The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Today is a new day this is the day you leave the guilt of your past behind and get a fresh start with a better understanding of how God sees you.
