Summary: Are you highly contagious? I mean……are you infectious enough to spread what is in you?

Highly contagious!

1 Thessalonians 1:5”..because our gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction…”

Are you highly contagious? I mean……are you infectious enough to spread what is in you? Do people close to you catch fast the faith, love, kindness, patience, faithfulness, loyalty, honesty in you? God is looking for someone who is spiritually contagious! Are you ready?

In the quietness of the night, I happened to read the foreword (not his book) of Rev.Dr. Samuel Kamaleson of World Vision International, written for another author, that set my heart on fire! If his words on print can move me this much, I knew he was saturated with the presence of God! This is what I call as being contagious! Do you hear me? Let me quote his words: ”Faithfulness in one produces faithfulness in another. And the chain is unending.”

A very good example I can give of such contagious faith, love and determination found in the Bible is the church of the Thessalonians! We read about this church in the first book of Thessalonians, when the Thessalonians received the message in much affliction from the Apostle and the ministers of God, they did not treat it carelessly but they held on to it diligently, obeyed their instructions and imitated the good examples of the apostles and ministers of Christ. Their lives were transformed and they became followers of the Lord! Fire was spreading! Wait a minute, it did not stop here, they became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia and their faith in God has gone forth everywhere! Fabulous! Jesus said Mathew 5:14 "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.” If you are living like a rat in the hole, come out today! Arise and shine for God!

On June 1st 1972, sixty nine year old Watchman Nee died alone in a prison cell in China. He had been there twenty years. Having no immediate family, the prison authorities immediately had his body cremated. For them he was just another unknown, insignificant, political prisoner. His cell would soon be taken up by another. For the world this prisoner was a complete failure: for the church he was one of her greatest saints. It is true this man died with no children of his own, but when he went into prison in 1952 he was the spiritual father of at least 70,000 – 150,000 Christians in over 500 independent indigenous house churches. They made up about 15-20% of the Protestant Christians in China. Nobody knows how many spiritual grand children and great grand children he has, but the BBC estimates the Chinese Church is between 40 to 70 million strong. A very contagious Christian man who set China on fire for Christ!

Are you affecting people around you? This message comes across to set you on fire for God! Many youngsters who had attended my meetings have not just become normal Christians but most of them are serving the Lord! Fire begets fire!
