Holy Spirit Guided Evangelism Part 5

Remember when I started this series, when I ask you to pray for God to reveal to you two people in your sphere of influence who needed to hear the good news of the gospel?

Your prayer - part two: Between now and the end of the year, pray for God to present you with the opportunities to witness to those people you ask God to reveal to you before.

5. God’s promises about prayer

a. Psalm 9:12 tells us He doesn’t ignore them

b. Matthew 7:7 tells us He honors persistence in our prayers.

c. James 5:16 says sincere prayers are answered

d. 1 John 5:14 says God hears our prayers when they are in line with His will.

D. Active Laity

1. Strong Base - starts with good leaders

These are the qualities good leaders model and teach

God is the one we will have to answer to about how active our faith has been. What do we mean by active faith? Paul put it best when he was talking to Philemon about his active faith:

So it is very important to have an active laity involved in the church to promote growth. As it stands now, we have too much to do, and not near enough people to do it.

E. Small Groups

Even the early church seen the need for small groups as the church grew.

READ ACTS 6:1-7

The apostles seen the need for small groups to fill the needs for many. With Steven and the others it was to make sure all the strangers, widows, and orphans had enough to eat. Whether we’re talking about physical food or spiritual food there’s good fellowship in small groups.

Should be self evident why a strong youth group.

G.Committed to Justice

1. Psalm 7:11 tells us that God is a righteous judge. Psalm 58:11 tells us that God rewards those who are righteous.

2.God also tells us how to be with others.

3.We have to strive for justice by being obedient to Christ. John 14:15 says: “If you love me you will obey what I command.”
