Proverbs 1:7-9

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Ephesians 6:1-3

1Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.

2Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;

3That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

How old are you?

120?

Over 70?

120 years

Genesis 6:3

And the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”

Moses was exactly 120 years old when he died. And the Bible tells us…

Deuteronomy 34:7

Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died. His eyes were not dim nor his natural vigor diminished.

70 years

But then in Psalms…

Psalm 90:10

The days of our lives are seventy years; And if by reason of strength they are eighty years,

Why am I asking ‘how old are you?’ to a bunch of women on Mothers’ Day?

I see so many of you that are over 70 years old…pushing towards 120

Because is has to do with a promise of the LORD. A promise based on HONOR.

Exodus 20:12 “ Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God is giving you.

Today we are here to Worship the LORD for HIS promises

And give honor to Mothers on this Mother’s Day.

Proverbs 31: 10-31

10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.

30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.

Proverbs 1:7-9

7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. 8 My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy

mother: 9 For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Ephesians 6:1-3

1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.

2 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;

3That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
