Summary: We must show how much we care about our heavenly father.

HOW MUCH DO YOU CARE

Psalm 142

1I cried unto the LORD with my voice; with my voice unto the LORD did I make my supplication.

2I poured out my complaint before him; I shewed before him my trouble.

3When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me.

4I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.

5I cried unto thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.

6Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I.

7Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.

How much do you really care ? This question cannot be answered in works alone but in daily deeds and actions. My question is how much do you care about----

1. The savior’s will

John 7: 17If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

It is his will for you to believe

It is his for us to act like Christians

It is will for us to be busy for him

2. The study of his word

Hebrews 4: 12For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

We need to care enough to love his word

We need to care enough to live by his word

We need to care enough to be loyal to it

3. The sinners worth

Matt. 16: 24Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

25For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

26For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

God so loved that he gave his only begotten son

The Lord Jesus suffered the sinner’s penalty

The saved ought to love Christ enough to care for the lost.

4. The saints witness

Acts 5: 32And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

Do you care enough about your talents?

Do you care enough about your time

Do you care enough your tithe?

5. The suffering of the world

John 3: 16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The sick and suffering need help

The sorrowing needs help

The straying and stricken need love

6. The sentenced wrath

Rom.1: 18For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

If you are not saved you are ready condemned

If you are not saved you must face te wrath of God

You must face the great white throne Judgments

7. The salvation welcome

Luke19: 6And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.

7And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.

8And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord: Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.

9And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.

Our Heavenly father has done it all

The Holy Spirit says come

Jesus is waiting right for you right now
