How to keep the fire of revival in our hearts burning for the Lord?

Revive in 2005 part 5

Thesis: Today we are seeking to learn how to keep the fire of revival burning in our hearts. In other words, how do I stay revived in 2005? We do it by prayer, persistence in the faith and staying in His Word.

Opening Illustration: Is taken from Backstage Volume 2 the clip on the Bonus section about Fusion.

Clip discusses the importance of fusing with God for greater power and impact in our times.

Today I am going to tag team with Pastor Marion and we will discuss, how to keep the fire of revival burning in our hearts. We will be pulling thoughts from the following texts of Scripture.

Scripture texts for today:

Pastor Mike’s Texts:

Note this Key revival verse in 2 Chronicles 7:14: The promise from the Lord about His presence dwelling among us 14if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Galatians 1:8, 9: 8But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! 9As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!

2 Corinthians 11:13-15: 13For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

Acts 3:19: 19Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord…

Pastor Marion’s Texts:

Psalm 139: 23, 24

23 Search me, O God, and know my heart;

test me and know my anxious thoughts.

24 See if there is any offensive way in me,

and lead me in the way everlasting.
