PASSION-Any powerful emotion , such as love and joy. Boundless enthusiasm.

Psalms 63

63:1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.

3 Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

4 Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.

5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:

6 When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.

7 Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.

8 My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.

Matt 2:1-2

Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,

2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

What kind of passion do we have toward seek Jesus this morning?

We pursue passions in our lives.

We spend money and use great amounts of energy to get what we want.

Paul said,"I don’t want to know anything except Jesus and Him crucified".

Phil 3:10

10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

If we cried as much for spiritual needs as we do for our physical needs, I believe we wouldn’t have as many, physical needs.

Matt 5:6

6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

What would God have to do for you to ignite a flame of passion in you?

Luke 8:38-39

38 Now the man out of whom the devils were departed besought him that he might be with him, (follow, serve, obey) but Jesus sent him away, saying,

39 Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him

Obviously Enoch had a passion for fellowship with God.

Gen 5:23-24

23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:

24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

Acts 3:1-2

3:1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

Do you have a passion to spend time with God in prayer?

Look at the passion the Jews to kill Jesus.

Look at the passion Jesus had to destroy sin in our lives.

Look at the passion that Jesus had in trying to reach us to save us.

Our passion for Jesus will bring others to Him.
