Summary: A message on the Omnipresent God.

IGNORANT OF GOD’S PRESENCE

Judges 16:20

Exodus 34:29

Luke 9:33

INTRO: There are times in each of our lives, when we think that God is not with us, and there are times when we think that God is with us. At times, when we think that He is with us, He isn’t. And at times when we think He isn’t with us He is. We could call this IGNORANT OF GOD’S PRESENCE.

I. UNNOTED CHANGE (Judges 16:20).

A. Samson wist not that God had left him.

1. He was enticed by a woman to betray his power given by God.

2. He didn’t know that God had left him.

B. God sometimes leaves us and we don’t know it.

1. It is a bad thing when God leaves us.

2. But we are in bad shape when God leaves us and we don’t know

it.

C. Samson wanted revenge.

1. Samson brought to the feast.

2. Samson didn’t care about anyone.

3. We sometimes seek revenge ourselves.

II. UNCONSCIOUS GLOW (Exodus 34:29).

A. Moses wist not that God was with him.

1. Moses had been communicating with God.

2. The people were afraid to come to Moses.

B. God with us.

1. We sometimes may not realize the presence of God with us.

2. Sometimes we may not want to be near someone because we

sense the nearness of God to that person.

III. UNTHINKING ENTHUSIASM (Luke 9:33).

A. Peter was selfish.

1. He wanted the experience for himself.

2. The only way you can keep a good experience with Christ is to

share it.

B. Selfishness among Christians.

1. Like Peter, we want to be selfish.

2. We are to go and share our Christ with others.

CONC: He who knows not, and knows not that he knows not----that man is a

fool.

He who knows not, and knows that he knows not----that man is a child, teach him.

He who knows, and knows not that he knows is asleep----awake him.

He who knows, and knows that he knows is wise----follow him. That man is

Jesus.
