INTERCESSION PRAYER FORSAKE NOT THE ASSEMBLING

Roman 8:14

by: Clarence E. Weaver, Sr.

Introduction

Tonight is congregation intercession prayer, and it is our time as a body of believers to speak to God hear from God, and to follow God. I get excited every time I read those glorious words: "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God they are the sons of God Romans 8:14." It assures me that the Sprit has given us the mind of God to receive life and peace. Our carnal mind has been put to death by the Spirit of God, and it bear witness that we are children of God.

Since we are children of the most High God let us not forsake the assembling of ourselves together. Let’s continue to build each other up in love, and let iron sharpen iron so we may keep each other in tune to God. Before we pray for the body of Christ tonight we must know what pary can do for you. First we must realize that there is joy in prayer, second there is power in prayer, and finally we must be committed to prayer.

(1)There is Joy in Prayer

It is a fact that prayer doesn’t not have the place it should have in our ministerial and Christian life. Do let us believe that God’s call to much prayer need not to be a burden and cause of continual self condemnation. He means it to be a joy. He can make it an inspiration, giving us strength for all work through us in Him and in our fellowmen.

(2) There is Power in Prayer

Prayer can keep us from backsliding and it prevents us from falling into Satan’s trap of loving the world. 1 John 1:16 say, "For all the things, that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world." And in the 15 verse in states that if in man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. Thanks be to God for giving us Jesus who prayed that none of us is lost to the world and because we are not of the world. There is no condemnation in Jesus Christ the Anointed One!

(3) Be Commitment to Prayer

(A) When you commit your life to prayer you will experience the will of God will flow from heaven to earth. God’s will is establish on earth as it is in heaven.

(B)When you commit your life to prayer, you will develop a relationship of knowing God and trusting him for his purpose for your life.

(C) When you commit your life to prayer you can fulfill your obligation to your generation and to the future generation. Pray without ceasing. God will hear from you.
