Summary: We need to hear the voce of the Lord
It's Time To Hear His Voice
38 Then Jesus, again groaning in Himself, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay against it.
39 Jesus said, “Take away the stone.”
Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, “Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days.”
40 Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”
41 Then they took away the stone [d]from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.
42 And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me.”
43 Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!”
44 And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Loose him, and let him go.”
I love the story of Lazarus:
I love this story because it reminds us
That It's not over till God says It's over”
It reminds us that with God anything is possible
It reminds us that not only does God work were everyone can see Him
He also works is the dark
Where no one can see Him
This story of Lazarus reminds us that
Man's impossibilities are God's opportunities
It shows us that whatever looks dead in your life can live again
What looks like it’s been in the dark too long can live again
With just one word from the master Everything can change
One word from Him can bring you out
One word can give you new life
One word can open your eyes
One word can take a situation that everyone said was over and show them that nothing is over when God is in it…
In our story word comes to Jesus (Lazarus is sick)
But Jesus waits 2 days to respond:
Why would He wait 2 days to respond?
It could just as easily been 12 years____ Like the woman with the issue of blood.
It could just as easily been 38 years like the man at the Pool of Bethesda.
The point is: it doesn't matter
Or how wrong
Or how strong It is
It is all the same to Jesus.
You see to Jesus It's the same power that heals a headache __That drives out cancer
It’s the same power that heals a pulled muscle ——That drives out demons
It’s the same power that created the world __That saved your marriage
It’s the same power that said let there be light —That deliver you from drugs
Its all the same to Jesus
When He says it’s time
No matter what men say
No matter what the doctors say
No mater what the time of death says
He has the final say…
After 2 days Jesus says (Now Lets go wake Lazarus up)
Jesus never spook of Lazarus as dead,
He simply says: he's asleep and I'm going to wake him up.
Because as far as God's power is concerned there is no difference
Somebody here today needs to know:
Your case it's not too hard for Jesus.
It may be too hard for doctors,
It may be too hard for the psychiatrist
But Jesus has not giving up on you
Your situation is not too hard for Him
Another thing this story shows us is: it's never too late.
Never give up
Never quit praying,
Never quit confessing,
Never quit praising God.
Never quit believing.
You're closer than you think, you're on the edge of a miracle.
This story also shows us that
Sometimes God delays in answering our prayers
Sometimes the answer does not come right away
Sometimes we have to go through some things
Sometimes we have to walk though a valley
For Him to show us that He alone is God
He alone is the only one who could have brought you out of that situation
This story of Lazarus represents
a hopeless cause.
It represents An irreversible situation.
It’s also represents A condition beyond repair.
It appears that all Hope is gone.
And from all natural evidence seams to be dead and buried in a tomb
That’s why they rolled the stone across the door:
It meant that its over
It’s decided (it is what it is)
And it’s never going to change.
There are so many people sitting here today
That believe that to be true in their own life’s
