Jesus Is Lord!

I. Jesus is Lord by God’s Authority

A. Jesus claimed all authority (Matt 28:18)

B. Jesus received His authority from God (Acts 2:36)

C. Jesus was given this authority because of the cross (Phil 2:5-9)

II. Jesus is Lord because of His resurrection

A. His resurrection came first then His Lordship (Ephesians 1:20)

B. Jesus’ resurrection showed His power over death (Revelation 1:18)

III. Jesus Lordship shown by His miracles

A. Jesus had power of nature (Matt 8:26-27)

B. Jesus had power over disease (Matt 9:1-8)

C. Jesus has power over demons (Mark 9:25-27)

D. Jesus has power over death (John 11:44)

IV. Jesus’ Lordship has no barriers in time

A. Jesus has always been Lord (Col 1:16-17)

B. Jesus is Lord right now (Ephesians 1:20-21)

C. Jesus will always be Lord (Ephesians 1:21)

V. Jesus is Lord over all of creation

A. Jesus is supreme over everything (Col 1:18)

B. Jesus has supremacy over everyone (Phil 2:10-11)
