VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. In all our afflictions, JESUS is afflicted

"In all their affliction He was afflicted,"

Affliction is "tsarah" in Hebrew meaning: tightness, adversary, adversity, affliction, anguish, distress, tribulation, trouble.

Afflicted is "tsar tsar" in Hebrew meaning: narrow, adversary, afflicted (-tion), anguish, close, distress, enemy, flint, foe, narrow, small, sorrow, strait, tribulation, trouble.

Exodus 3:7-9 (Amplified Bible)

3:7 And the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters and oppressors; for I know their sorrows and sufferings and trials.

3:8 And I have come down to deliver them out of the hand and power of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land to a land good and large, a land flowing with milk and honey [a land of plenty]—to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

3:9 Now behold, the cry of the Israelites has come to Me, and I have also seen how the Egyptians oppress them.

The LORD teaches us in sorrows, sufferings and trials, but not in sickness, diseases and poverty. Affliction enumerated all these wherein we can be taught in this world, because in Heaven, there's no affliction.

Zechariah 2:8 (Amplified Bible)

2:8 For thus said the Lord of hosts, after [His] glory had sent me [His messenger] to the nations who plundered you—for he who touches you touches the apple or pupil of His eye:

Matthew 25:40 (Amplified Bible)

25:40 And the King will reply to them, Truly I tell you, in so far as you did it for one of the least [in the estimation of men] of these My brethren, you did it for Me.

If you bless GOD's people, you will be blessed, if you curse GOD's people, you will be cursed, thus is the Abrahamic covenant with GOD inherited by GOD's people.

There's no karma, but only GOD who blesses and curses based on what we do to His people.

Genesis 12:3 (Amplified Bible)

12:3 And I will bless those who bless you [who confer prosperity or happiness upon you] and curse him who curses or uses insolent language toward you; in you will all the families and kindred of the earth be blessed [and by you they will bless themselves].

Galatians 3:8 (Amplified Bible)

3:8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify (declare righteous, put in right standing with Himself) the Gentiles in consequence of faith, proclaimed the Gospel [foretelling the glad tidings of a Savior long beforehand] to Abraham in the promise, saying, In you shall all the nations [of the earth] be blessed.

B. He saved us thru the following

1. Angel of His Presence saved us

2. In His love and pity He redeemed us

3. He carried us all the days of old

"and the Angel of His presence saved them; in His love and in His pity He redeemed them; and He lifted them up and carried them all the days of old."

Angel of His Presence is JESUS Himself.

1 Corinthians 10:9 (Amplified Bible)

10:9 We should not tempt the Lord [try His patience, become a trial to Him, critically appraise Him, and exploit His goodness] as some of them did—and were killed by poisonous serpents;

GOD's saving has no comparison in human saving.

Hosea 1:7 (Amplified Bible)

1:7 But I will have love, pity, and mercy on the house of Judah and will deliver them by the Lord their God and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by equipment of war, nor by horses, nor by horsemen.

He saved us thru His Love. The Crucifixion is the medium of His death where love and judgment has been seen at the same time.
