VIII. MAIN BODY:

John 4:34 (Amplified Bible)

Jesus said to them, My food (nourishment) is to do the will (pleasure) of Him Who sent Me and to accomplish and completely finish His work.

John 4:34 (New King James Version)

Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.

A. We eat food different from sinners

"Jesus said to them, My food (nourishment)"

We are eating food or meat that the world does not know and can't eat.

John 4:32 (Amplified Bible)

But He assured them, I have food (nourishment) to eat of which you know nothing and have no idea.

For the world eats a different food as well:

Proverbs 4:17 (Amplified Bible)

For they eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence.

For our food and drink is JESUS:

John 6:33 (Amplified Bible)

For the Bread of God is He Who comes down out of heaven and gives life to the world.

John 4:10 (Amplified Bible)

Jesus answered her, If you had only known and had recognized God’s gift and Who this is that is saying to you, Give Me a drink, you would have asked Him [instead] and He would have given you living water.

John 4:14 (Amplified Bible)

But whoever takes a drink of the water that I will give him shall never, no never, be thirsty any more. But the water that I will give him shall become a spring of water welling up (flowing, bubbling) [continually] within him unto (into, for) eternal life.

John 6:38 (Amplified Bible)

For I have come down from heaven not to do My own will and purpose but to do the will and purpose of Him Who sent Me.

Job 23:12 (Amplified Bible)

I have not gone back from the commandment of His lips; I have esteemed and treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.

Spiritually speaking, we find comfort and strength in GOD'S WORDS not the physical food we feed our bodies. I have learned this the hard way, and now I'm telling you that in this world, our body needs first of all (priority top 1) is worship and devotion, let GOD'S Presence saturate our soul first, then we do what our hand finds to do, in honor and worship to Him as well. We are spiritually nourished and spiritually strengthened when someone we know will accept the LORD JESUS CHRIST as their own LORD and SAVIOR as fruit of what we do.

1 Corinthians 10:31 (Amplified Bible)

So then, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you may do, do all for the honor and glory of God.

1 Corinthians 15:58 (Amplified Bible)

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be firm (steadfast), immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord [always being superior, excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the Lord], knowing and being continually aware that your labor in the Lord is not futile [it is never wasted or to no purpose].

B. Our food: Do GOD's will and finish GOD's work

"is to do the will (pleasure) of Him Who sent Me and to accomplish and completely finish His work"

Hebrews 12:2 (Amplified Bible)
