Kairos: What Can God Do In One Day?

WHAT CAN GOD DO IN ONE DAY? KAIROS? SUCH A TIME AS THIS?

When I was a kid we had S&H Green Stamps and Top Yellow stamps. We would save them, lick them and put them in a book. When we had enough we would trade the stamps for things in a catalog.

GOD CREATED THE CONCEPT OF TIME AS A GIFT FOR MAN… TIME IS MEANINGLESS IN ETERNITY.

Some insects live their adult life and die in one day. If God had made man’s life span to be one long day we would be doomed. If you messed up today you would have messed up your whole life. So in love God gave man a wonderful opportunity. God broke time into seconds, minutes and days. If you messed up today, in 24 hours you will have a fresh new day and a fresh new start.

WHAT CAN GOD DO IN ONE DAY? BIBLICAL WORDS FOR TIME:

*YOM: (YUM) YOM KIPPUR: the day of atonement, a point of time, A DAY, the concept of day, days, but time in general.

*CHRONOS: THE TICKING OF TIME, SECONDS, MINUTES, HOURS, DAYS, MONTHS…

*KAIROS: (KYE –ROSS) (KAI-ROSS) RIGHT NOW, deep time, opportunities, PREGNANT MOMENTS, God ordained, appointed season of times, eye opening, SPEAKS OF HEAVEN, Spirit of time, revelation.

TIME IS A GIFT FROM GOD… THERE IS AN APPOINTED TIME… FOR GOD’S PLAN AND PURPOSE…

WHAT CAN GOD DO IN ONE DAY? ELISHA? ELISHA KAIRUS --- TIME? TAKE COMFORT! THERE IS A TERRIBLE FAMINE IN ISRAEL… PEOPLE ARE STARVING TO DEATH. RICH PEOPLE ARE EATING DONKEY HEADS? POOR PEOPLE PIGEON MANURE? HEAR THE WORD OF THE LORD… WHAT SEEMS COMPLETELY IMPOSSIBLE??? KAIROS?

2 Kings 7:1 Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria. 2 Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.

WHAT CAN GOD DO IN ONE DAY? YOUR NEGATIVE, DOUBT ABOUT WHAT GOD CAN DO WITH TIME BECOMES A SELF-DOUBTING TRAP OF FEAR… GOD IN HIS TIME HAD A PREGNANT IDEA…KAIROS?

2 Kings 7:17And the king appointed the lord on whose hand he leaned to have the charge of the gate: and the people trode upon him in the gate, and he died, as the man of God had said, who spake when the king came down to him. 18 And it came to pass as the man of God had spoken to the king, saying, Two measures of barley for a shekel, and a measure of fine flour for a shekel, shall be to morrow about this time in the gate of Samaria:

19 And that lord answered the man of God, and said, Now, behold, if the LORD should make windows in heaven, might such a thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.

20 And so it fell out unto him: for the people trode upon him in the gate, and he died.

One day? What can God do for you? God can take impossible situations and feed a whole nation. The powerful enemies defeated themselves. KAIROS!

IT IS ALWAYS THE RIGHT TIME TO DO SOMETHING RIGHT! SINCE THE BEGINNING OF HISTORY OF TIME GOD’S ENEMIES HAD TRIED TO SNUFF OUT THE LINE THAT WOULD BRING LIGHT TO THE WORLD. THE TIME OF SILENCE IS OVER… ESTHER WAS RELUCTANT AND FEARED IF SHE DID WHAT MOREDICEA WAS ASKING… IT MIGHT PUT HER QUEENSHIP AND EVEN LIFE ENDANGER… KAIROS?

As her Uncle (maybe cousin) discussed the danger of wiping out God’s seed ESTHER HAD TO LEARN TO TRUST THE UNSEEN HANDS OF A MIGHTY GOD… Stepping into the FAITH REALM would TEST EVERY FIBER OF ESTHER’S FAITH. Can we imagine the stress, the fear and the panic attacks to stand up against one of the greatest enemies of God in one day? HAMAN HATED THE PREACHER AND THE WORD. MORDECAI COULD DISCERN THE HAMAN PLOT… What can one girl do with TODAY? CAN GOD TAKE THIS STRESS, THIS TRIAL, THIS STRUGGLE, THIS BURDEN OF HOPELESSNESS with time and then see the enemy hang on his own gallows? KAIROS?
