Simon Peter replied, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.

Then Jesus answered him, Blessed (happy, fortunate, and to be envied) are you, Simon Bar-Jonah. For flesh and blood [men] have not revealed this to you, but My Father Who is in heaven.

And I tell you, you are Peter [Greek, Petros—a large piece of rock], and on this rock [Greek, petra—a huge rock like Gibraltar] I will build My church, and the gates of Hades (the powers of the infernal region) shall not overpower it [or be strong to its detriment or hold out against it].

I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind (declare to be improper and unlawful) on earth must be what is already bound in heaven; and whatever you loose (declare lawful) on earth must be what is already loosed in heaven.

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Make the Kingdom of GOD my primary concern

"But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right),"

The Kingdom of GOD as oppose to Kingdom of Heaven is the reign and rule of GOD inside our hearts.

Matthew 19:24 (Amplified Bible)

Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to go into the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 12:28 (Amplified Bible)

But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out the demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you [before you expected it].

Mark 10:15 (Amplified Bible)

Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive and accept and welcome the kingdom of God like a little child [does] positively shall not enter it at all.

Luke 17:21 (Amplified Bible)

Nor will people say, Look! Here [it is]! or, See, [it is] there! For behold, the kingdom of God is within you [in your hearts] and among you [surrounding you].

Make the reign and rule of GOD in our hearts our primary concern, making it first, at the beginning of every tasks, chiefly making it first of all our doings and intents of our hearts.

Mark 1:15 (Amplified Bible)

And saying, The [appointed period of] time is fulfilled (completed), and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent (have a change of mind which issues in regret for past sins and in change of conduct for the better) and believe (trust in, rely on, and adhere to) the good news (the Gospel).

Acts 15:9 (Amplified Bible)

And He made no difference between us and them, but cleansed their hearts by faith (by a strong and welcome conviction that Jesus is the Messiah, through Whom we obtain eternal salvation in the kingdom of God).

People of this world rise up early to prepare for work which will earn them money, and they will do it again tomorrow morning, their life was bound by their work, a slave of their work. But we rise up early to commune with GOD. See the great difference!

Seek means "to worship" therefore seeking first is "worship GOD first" and all these things that seeks first attention in our lives will be provided by GOD: namely: food, drink, clothing, etc. GOD's reign and rule cannot be separated from His Presence. In His Presence, we worship.

B. GOD will meet all our needs daily

"and then all these things taken together will be given you besides."

GOD will not only provide them but add it to you, meaning, there will be different rations of food, drinks and clothing to you as you make GOD your primary concern.

Matthew 19:29 (Amplified Bible)

And anyone and everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands for My name’s sake will receive many [even a hundred] times more and will inherit eternal life.
