‘last Day Revival’

Summary: Lady asked Billy Sunday: “Why do you keep having revivals when it doesn't last?" He asked her, "Why do you keep taking baths?" For years I have not only heard but have preached that before the second coming of Jesus that there would be a great last day revival.
‘Last Day Revival’
Lady asked Billy Sunday: “Why do you keep having revivals when it doesn't last?" He asked her, "Why do you keep taking baths?" For years I have not only heard but have preached that before the second coming of Jesus that there would be a great last day revival. This revival would sweep the nations and multitudes would escape from the Kingdom of Darkness to the Kingdom of God, I still believe it and that is why we have gone to the nations for the past 60 years. In this Sermon outline I am listing points from my book ‘REVIVAL YOU MAKE IT HAPPEN’ and it is the formula for the LAST DAY OUTPOURING. 2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV) If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land..
I. MY PEOPLE.
A. We are His when we are called by His Name.
II. HUMBLE YOURSELF.
A. We do not want God to humble us. We need to humble ourselves.
1. Remember Nebuchadnezzar whom God humbled.
III. PRAY.
A. Pray not play.
1. Where are mid-week prayer meetings today?
2. We have substituted pray with play.
3. A true revival means nothing less than a revolution, casting out the spirit of worldliness, making God's love triumph in the heart
IV. SEEK GOD’S FACE.
A. Not Super Preacher.
1. Too many are following man when we should be following Jesus. Luke 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
V. TURN FROM WICKED WAYS.
A. This repentance means God’s people.1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
VI. THEN GOD PROMISES TO HEAR OUR PRAYER.
A. Then He promises to forgive.
B. HE will then heal the land.
So if we are going to have a last day outpouring then the Church will have to do to their part to make it happen. The kingdom of God is not going to advance by our churches becoming filled with people, but by people in our churches becoming filled with God.
‘REVIVAL, YOU MAKE IT HAPPEN.
