Question: Who have I judged?
3 doctrinal exhortations that we need to consider out of "Let Us!"
1. Let Us Draw Near to God! Vs. 22 "let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water." (NIV)
"Conscience"--literally means with knowledge.
Fellowship with God demands first and foremost purity!
We have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus and that needs to be evident in our lives.
Question: Have we drawn near to God today?
2. Let Us Hold Fast to the Hope of Jesus! Vs. 23 "Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful." (NIV)
The confession of hope comes as a result of a profession of faith in Christ!
This promise is based on the fact that Christ is faithful!
3. Let Us Consider Others! Vs. 24-25
Why we gather in Fellowship:
To Encourage others in Love!
To Encourage others in Good Deeds!
To Encourage each Other!
Question: Are you in true fellowship with God and others?
