Summary: To show by SM (secret message) that what we have obtained like eternal life and great favors all came from GOD's Divine effort and no human effort was made to get or obtain it. Why this verse? Because it has a signature of the Aleph-Tav.

I. EXORDIUM:

Are you blessed and have great favors?

Yes, it's all because of JESUS.

Ephesians 2:8-9 (Amplified Bible)

2:8 For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God;

2:9 Not because of works [not the fulfillment of the Law’s demands], lest any man should boast. [It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself.]

Is GOD always with you?

Yes.

Deuteronomy 31:6 (Amplified Bible)

31:6 Be strong, courageous, and firm; fear not nor be in terror before them, for it is the Lord your God Who goes with you; He will not fail you or forsake you.

Hebrews 13:5 (Amplified Bible)

13:5 Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]

III. OBJECTIVES:

To show by SM (secret message) that what we have obtained like eternal life and great favors all came from GOD's Divine effort and no human effort was made to get or obtain it. Why this verse? Because it has a signature of the Aleph-Tav.

IV. TEXT:

2 Samuel 19:40 (Amplified Bible)

19:40 Then the king went on to Gilgal, and Chimham went with him; and all the people of Judah and also half the people of Israel escorted the king.

V. THESIS:

Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS for we have obtained peace, righteousness, security and triumph over opposition all because of You and no human effort made on our part. Thank You very much for all Your Gracious and Glorious Gifts upon us.

Isaiah 54:17 (Amplified Bible)

54:17 But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord.

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Chimham went with the king - no human effort or attainment

"Then the king went on to Gilgal, and Chimham went with him;"

Four ways that Chimham is a type of a CHRISTian believer is seen through the meaning of his own name.

Chimham or his Hebrew name "kimham" means:

1. washed away - we are washed by the blood of JESUS

Revelation 7:14 (Amplified Bible)

7:14 I replied, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are they who have come out of the great tribulation (persecution), and have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

2. hungry - we are hungry for GOD's Presence and His WORDS

Matthew 4:4 (Amplified Bible)

4:4 But He replied, It has been written, Man shall not live and be upheld and sustained by bread alone, but by every word that comes forth from the mouth of God.

Deuteronomy 8:3 (Amplified Bible)

8:3 And He humbled you and allowed you to hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you recognize and personally know that man does not live by bread only, but man lives by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord.
