Malachi 3:6 (NKJV) 6“For I am the LORD, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.

We are living in the midst of changing times. Our world is going through changes with the forces of nature, with earthquake, mudslides, flooding around the world, and unprecedented snowfall across the entire United States. The news reported this week that 49 of the 50 states have had snowfall this winter. All the states except Florida have had snow this winter.

The news reported this week that the Zodiac has been changed because it has been discovered that alignment has been wrong and a 13th sign was added and changing almost all the dates that the horoscope is based on. It was said that this change would bring the Zodiac back in line with the original Zodiac from Babylonian times.

In our world opinions change constantly, what people though was once wrong now seems to be all right, and thinks that were once right is all wrong.

Lawmakers have changed laws that have been in place since the founding of our nation.

Marriage has been change to mean anything you want it to mean. The definition of family has been changed from a husband and wife and their children to who ever lives together in the same house. Be it two men or two women with children whether they are theirs or not.

Today I want us to look at some things that have never changes, and that will never.

1. We Serve An Unchanging God.

Malachi 3:6 (NKJV) 6“For I am the LORD, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.

What a hope we have in our unchanging God. Throughout the Word of God the truth remains, God’s unchanging character is revealed. Because He is always unchanging we can always know where stand with Him. He does not change the rules like children on the playground do when things aren’t going their way.

Heb 1:10 - 12 (NKJV) 10And: “You, LORD, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands. 11They will perish, but You remain; And they will all grow old like a garment; 12Like a cloak You will fold them up, And they will be changed. But You are the same, And Your years will not fail.”

Heb 13:8 (NKJV) 8Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

James reminds us in James 1:17 us that there is no variation or shadow of turning with our Heavenly Father.

What a comfort and assurance it is to know we sure an unchanging God, the Psalmist says it like this.

Psalms 102:27 (NKJV) 27But You are the same, And Your years will have no end.

2. We Have The Unchanging Word of God.

Matthew 24:35 (NKJV) 35Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

John 1:1 – 5, 14 (NKJV) 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.14And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Although many today believe that the Bible has become an outdated book, it remains the power of God unto salvation to all who believe.

Rom 1:16 (NKJV) 16For I am not ashamed of the gospel £of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

The Word of God still gives direction and counsel to us today.

Psalms 33:11 (NKJV) 11The counsel of the LORD stands forever, The plans of His heart to all generations.

3. We Have An Unchanging Source Of Mercy, Grace & Love.

In a world where commodities (food, water, oil, gas etc.) has manipulated to control people. God makes all of His resources available to His children.

He has promised a fresh supply for each day.

Lam 3:21 - 24 (NKJV) 21This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope. 22Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. 23They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. 24 “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!”

In the midst of these last days in which we live we have not been left unforgotten by God. With all the resources He given to us, we have ever-present presence through the Holy Spirit.
