Summary: Many lose life in wishing for something else, and waste what is in their hands.
I ponder today, Searching for a clean stall. Too many of our hearts mourn over what we do not have, because our eyes and hearts fail to see what we do have. We pray more for things than people. Happiness becomes our goal. Several have told me in the last few days, "I just want to be happy!" This is pure stupidity, much like looking for a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, or getting a divorce because we just don’t love each other any more? Just give me a clean stall?
Garth Brooks was asked about how wonderful life was since he had made it, and Nashville, was his home and he had attained all the rewards of stardom? Garth’s answer amazed me, ... " OZ is only OZ, if you live out of OZ ."
Much truth is hidden here. The wizard of OZ is only a wizard if you don’t know his human side? Too few of us ever learn the lesson to both enjoy the forest and the trees? The trees can hide the forest and the forest can cause a loss of the individual’s beauty. How about a clean stall?
Life comes in three volumes, volume #1) YESTERDAY, #2) TODAY, #3) TOMORROW. Yesterday is gone, but it pays to visit on Memory Lane. Tomorrow is a good place to dream, but tomorrow may never be? Today is where life should focus. I DESERVE A CLEAN STALL?
Many of us lose life in wishing for something else, and wasting what is in our hand? Moses, what is in your hand? Well, God will use what is in your hand, as menial and common as it may be. It is just a walking stick, God?
Quit looking for OZ, as OZ never has existed. Dorothy learned the lesson, she had the power within her all the time, when she quit running around looking for better and started appreciating menial, daily being, she could click her heels and say, ... "THERE NO PLACE LIKE HOME, THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME."
How sad when people think a greener field is the answer. Most know I live in the country, cows are my nearest neighbors. Can I tell you where the grass is greener? over the septic tank, or beneath a pile of cow manure? Usually the best growth processes come out of not perfect matter? Sadder than pastor with Greener syndrome, is a SPOUSE with greener syndrome? Many times, I have seen the old parent forget ... all the past deeds of love and effort of their child, because of some fault that became exposed, all the miles of the care-giver, can be forgotten and the love of that distant-relative that never did anything becomes the hero, because the humanity and faults of daily life cover all the love deeds in one brush stroke, when everybody becomes right and nobody is wrong?
Give me a clean stall?
I love a hidden verse in Proverbs. Prov. 14:4 WHERE NO OXEN ARE, THE CRIB IS CLEAN: BUT MUCH INCREASE IS BY THE STRENGTH OF THE OX.
Honey, if you are looking for a clean stall, your barn will soon be falling. If something is going to grow, we need effort and attitude that promotes room for septic tanks. Doctors are the only people I know that can bury their mistakes, the rest of us need to give room, and shovel the mistakes away, and grow life in the midst. Perhaps we need humans more than clean stalls?
