Unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, - 2 Timothy 3:3

In the end times there will be a great shift in how people live and act world-wide. Jesus spoke of children who will betray parents and how people will even want to put Christians to death for simply being the lights of the world, sharing the love of Jesus. These things seem so abstract and far off and we can say: This will never happen or it will be a long time till we start to see these things. We see in this passage some ear-marks or signs of these end times that will be coming. Not having love, not forgiving and speaking evil of other good believers will be just part of this spirit of anti-christ in the world.

Do you find it hard to forgive other brothers and sisters in the Lord, be careful that you are not being influenced by the spirit of the world and the spirit of anti-christ that is coming. Do you find it hard to love others in the body of Christ, even because of hurtful things that were done to you? Are you speaking evil of those brothers and sisters and judging them? This is very important as we near the coming of our Lord that we are clear of all such sin and are full of love, forgiveness and using our mouths with mercy to love others and restore them (Galatians 5:1). It is easy to see all that is wrong constantly we need to find the good and encourage others in the body. Lord please keep us free from the spirit of the age and let us be full of the meek and loving spirit of our Lord Jesus. Amen.
