But as for you, continue to hold to the things that you have learned and of which you are convinced, knowing from whom you learned [them],

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Thoroughly equipped

"So that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped"

Hebrews 13:20-21 (Amplified Bible)

Now may the God of peace [Who is the Author and the Giver of peace], Who brought again from among the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood [that sealed, ratified] the everlasting agreement (covenant, testament),

Strengthen (complete, perfect) and make you what you ought to be and equip you with everything good that you may carry out His will; [while He Himself] works in you and accomplishes that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ (the Messiah); to Whom be the glory forever and ever (to the ages of the ages). Amen (so be it).

Adam was complete already in GOD without Eve but Adam choosed to have a companion like to himself and did not choose GOD as his companion so the partner/companion Adam was looking for was the one that introduced him to disobeying GOD by eating the forbidden fruit. Man was already completed in GOD, so therefore the saying "you complete me" , pertaining to the opposite sex is wrong, but instead we should say "GOD completes me" whether you're a man or a woman. As you can see GOD already called Adam as mankind even before Eve was created.

Genesis 2:15 (Amplified Bible)

And the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend and guard and keep it.

Now we have no excuse whatsoever for if we're alone as a man, we are already complete, thoroughly equipped in CHRIST JESUS, how much more that we have our wife alongside us to help our completeness.

B. For every good works

"for every good work"

Matthew 25:35-36 (Amplified Bible)

For I was hungry and you gave Me food, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink, I was a stranger and you brought Me together with yourselves and welcomed and entertained and lodged Me,

I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you visited Me with help and ministering care, I was in prison and you came to see Me.

Our works can only be called good if we do it in the name of JESUS, if we do as if to the LORD and not to men, and we have not given any good works as menpleasers or in eyeservice.

Matthew 26:7-8 (Amplified Bible)

A woman came up to Him with an alabaster flask of very precious perfume, and she poured it on His head as He reclined at table.

And when the disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, For what purpose is all this waste?

Ephesians 6:6 (Amplified Bible)

Not in the way of eye-service [as if they were watching you] and only to please men, but as servants (slaves) of Christ, doing the will of God heartily and with your whole soul;

1 Thessalonians 1:3 (Amplified Bible)

Recalling unceasingly before our God and Father your work energized by faith and service motivated by love and unwavering hope in [the return of] our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah).

IX. CONCLUSION:

A man of GOD, we are already thoroughly equipped for every good works because of the LORD JESUS and not because of ourselves or even not of our wife.
