VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Both of my power and strength comes from the LORD

"The Lord is my Strength and Song;"

Song, power or "zimrath" in Hebrew means: instrumental music, praise, song.

Strength or "oz" in Hebrew means:

1. strength in various applications (force, security, majesty, praise)

2. boldness, loud, might, power, strength, strong

It's very interesting to note that Power is synonymous with song. The LORD is very Powerful.

Exodus 15:2 (Amplified Bible)

15:2 The Lord is my Strength and my Song, and He has become my Salvation; this is my God, and I will praise Him, my father’s God, and I will exalt Him.

Isaiah 12:2 (Amplified Bible)

12:2 Behold, God, my salvation! I will trust and not be afraid, for the Lord God is my strength and song; yes, He has become my salvation.

Nothing is said much about it, but when you are victorious you celebrate by dancing and singing. When you know you're powerful and over the top in every situation, you sing and dance in a karaoke, most probably that's how it is with the LORD as well. Our strength comes from the LORD, so use that strength to glorify Him alone, not your strength and power but use the strength and power that the LORD has given you.

B. The LORD has saved me

"and He has become my Salvation"

Salvation or "yeshuah" in Hebrew is the very Name of JESUS CHRIST in Hebrew, the LORD's Name is Salvation. He's the Only Way to Salvation and He Himself is Salvation Personified. JESUS Name is all of these and more: deliverance, aid, victory, prosperity, health, help, saving, welfare.

Acts 4:12 (Amplified Bible)

4:12 And there is salvation in and through no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by and in which we must be saved.

John 14:6 (Amplified Bible)

14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.

Matthew 1:21-23 (Amplified Bible)

1:21 She will bear a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus [the Greek form of the Hebrew Joshua, which means Savior], for He will save His people from their sins [that is, prevent them from failing and missing the true end and scope of life, which is God].
