(1) God Desires YOU "To be filled with the knowledge of his will"

"Col 1:9 To be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

What Is Gods Will ?

Rom 12:2 Be not of the World

2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God

But as the Sincere servants of Christ,

Eph 6:6

6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

That All should be Saved

Matt 18:14

14 Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.

God not only wants us to Know His Will, but also to Understand His Will - & do It.

"Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is" (Eph. 5:17)

"To be filled"means to be controlled; controlled by.

We need to Be "filled full with the knowledge of God Will. So we will be"controlled by this knowledge".

One reason so many Christians are inconsistent in their spiritual lives is that they are not filled with knowledge of God, therefore, they are not controlled by His will.

1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

(2) God Desires YOU

To WalkWorthy Of His Will

Read - Col 1:10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing,

How can believers walk worthy of the Lord? It it Impossible???

We need to Apply God’s Word not just read it.

"Some people love to study the Word, but they never seem to grasp the importance of God’s Word in their daily walk."

Wisdom; Walk; Works!

You will never walk worthy of the Lord until you first learn God’s Will

A. Is Being Fruitful

Read - Col. 1:10 being fruitful in every good work,

"Fruit bearing" - (John 15)

In order for believers to bear fruit, we must Abide in Him.

We need to Obey the Word of God and Do the Will of God in order that we might be Fruitful -

which is the real reason that we are saved

Col 1:10b and increasing in the knowledge of God;

B. Increasing in the knowledge of God

As we walk with God and work for God, we cannot help but to also increase in knowledge of God!

Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

(4)God Desires YOU

To be Strengthened in God’s Will

Read - Col 1:11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

Paul wrote, "That I may KNOW Him, and the POWER of His resurrection…." (Phil. 3:10)

The KEY is "Knowing"!

Patience-"endurance when circumstances are difficult

"Long-suffering - " opposite of revenge".

(4) God Desires YOU To Rejoice In God’s Will

Read - Col 1:12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be 1 partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

13 Who hath 2 delivered us from the power of darkness, and 3 hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

14 In whom we have 4 redemption through his blood, even 5 the forgiveness of sins:

20 And, 6 having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, 7 yet now hath he reconciled

22 In the body of his flesh through death, to 8 present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
