ONE THING I DO!

Three letters changed my live --- I DO!

Believe what you doubt and doubt what you believe!

Today in extreme hurry, rush, so busy, so much to do.

...We must concentrate on ONE THING

Phil. 3:13-14 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended:

but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

14: I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

I. This one thing

Get mind, limit by thinking, no many areas, At best field specialist.

A. John 9:25 Blind man, said One thing I know, I was blind, but now I see.

1. I don’t know many theories, philosophies, psychology, "-ology"

2. I don’t know how to debate, religions

One thing I know

"But I know I see", Thank you Jesus

II. One thing, "I Do"

A. 3 letters changed my whole life - I DO

I do love you.

I do give to you.

I do anything for you.

James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word

B. Lord’s (so says Brother James) is looking for doers not just hearers.

C. Danger in doing in zeal and ignorance.

Marines say, "We’re looking for a few good men."

D. Christian is ACTION WORD., not a state of being. (verb defined)

E. Wisest man to live, Solomon noticed ONE THING

Ecc. 3:19 One thing befalls all, (man & beast)

AS ONE DIES, ALL DIES

All is vanity.

vs. 20 1. You were dust, and will return to dust.

vs. 21 2. Man’s spirit goes upward.

One thing occurs to all

F. Look at Solomon’s dad, David had one thing to say.

Psa. 27:4 One thing have i desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple.

1.David had but 1 purpose - to Seek the Lord.

2.Dwell Lord’s house

3.Behold Lord’s beauty

4.Inquire in His temple.

Ask and learn

Quiet and stupid

One thing - knew purpose and desires

G. One thing, Martha

Luke 10:41-42 Just Jesus’s words:

41: Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:

42: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

1. Martha got too busy, cumbered about much serving.

2. You are needful, One thing is needful. Mary chose good part.

H. One thing young man, I Love You, but your lacking.

Mark 10:21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest; go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come,

take up the cross, and follow me.

III.One thing, I do

1. Forget those things behind

Not able to think of, can’t recall

So forget about yourself and concentrate and worship Him.

A.Forget oneself: to lose one’s dignity, temper, or self-desires.

2.Forget me not (11 letters) small blue or white (herb) flower.

God cries "Forget me not"

Deut. 6:12 Then beware lest thou forget the Lord, brought you out of Egypt.

to cease feeling resentment again

to grant relief from payment, pardon, forgive

Something from past does no glory to recall

BURY DEAD THINGS!

3. Reaching forward (only after forgetting behind)

I’d stretch a mile, if I didn’t have to walk back.

A.Intense, straining effort.

B.When He reached way down for me, I was lost and undone without God or His son - He reached

C. To go as far as limit is, Wall to Wall

Stretch out, extend, must reach forward

higher, deeper, wider, stronger
