1.INHERITANCE
Galatians 4:6-7 John 1:12 I John 3:1
As children of God we become heirs to the inheritance of God .When we put our trust in Christ he gives us the privilege to become joint-heirs with Him.God gives us the right to inherit everything that He has.
2.INNOCENCE
Matthew 18:4-6 I Corinthians 14:20
As children of God we are to have a heart of innocence like a child.We should be free from all malice and guile and wickedness. Instead we should be humble as a child.God wants us to be wise like serpents but harmless as a dove.We should be mature in understanding but in malice we must be like an innocent child.
3.INSTRUCTION
Hebrews 12:5-11 II Timothy 3:15 Proverbs 22:6
As children of God we will be instructed by God.Like a good father He will correct us and discipline us. God chastens those whom He loves.Therefore as God’s children we must be willing to receive His instruction and correction and guidance.
4.IMAGE
As children of God we must be conformed to the image of the Lord Jesus Christ.God wants everyone one of His children to grow into the likeness of His Son.Everyday we must be growing into His image.We cannot call ourselves the children of God and live as we like.We must reflect the image and the qualities of Christ.
5.INSTRUMENT
Matthew 21:28-32 II kings 5:2-4
As children of God we must be an instrument in His Hands. God wants His children to work in His vineyard and to share His responsibilities.There is an enormous task for the church to finish and as God’s children we have a sacred duty to do everything we can for God.
6.INTERCESSION
As children of God we have the privilege to present our needs to Him.He is our heavenly Father who loves to give good gifts to those who ask.We can also intercede for others before our Heavenly Father and He will listen to us because we are His children.
7.INTERVENTION
As children of God we have the privilege to experience God’s intervention when we are in trouble. He is our Heavenly Father and He will come to our rescue when we are in danger. Therefore we can boldly call upon Him in our time of distress and He will deliver us because we are His children.
