Jeremiah 50:34 (Amplified Bible)

50:34 Their Redeemer is strong; the Lord of hosts is His name. He will surely and thoroughly plead their case and defend their cause, that He may give rest to [the land of Israel and to the Babylonian-enslaved nations of] the earth, but unrest to the inhabitants of Babylon.

V. THESIS:

Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS, for Our Redeemer is You and You're Strong, You have pleaded our case, defended our cause, given rest to us and unrest to our enemies. You have quivered my enemies with great turmoil, great fear and great anger making them unhealthy and shortening their life span.

Jeremiah 2:19 (Amplified Bible)

2:19 Your own wickedness shall chasten and correct you, and your backslidings and desertion of faith shall reprove you. Know therefore and recognize that this is an evil and bitter thing: [first,] you have forsaken the Lord your God; [second,] you are indifferent to Me and the fear of Me is not in you, says the Lord of hosts.

Jeremiah 31:33 (Amplified Bible)

31:33 But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel: After those days, says the Lord, I will put My law within them, and on their hearts will I write it; and I will be their God, and they will be My people.

A. Our Redeemer will plead our case and defend our cause

"Their Redeemer is strong; the Lord of hosts is His name. He will surely and thoroughly plead their case and defend their cause,"

Redeemer is "gaal" in Hebrew meaning:

1. to redeem

2. be the next of kin

3. buy back a relative's property

4. avenger, deliver, ransom, purchase, revenger

Plead is "ryb rub" in Hebrew meaning:

1. to toss

2. hold a controversy

3. to defend

4. complain, contend, debate, lay wait, plead, rebuke, strike, (thoroughly)

Cause is "ryb rib" in Hebrew meaning:

1. contest (personal or legal)

2. contention, controversy, pleading, strife, suit

The LORD is not only a Strong Redeemer but our Lawyer as well in court, He will be the One to plead our case and defend our cause. He will be on our side.

Jeremiah 51:36 (Amplified Bible)

51:36 Therefore thus says the Lord: Behold, I will plead your cause and take vengeance for you. I will dry up her lake or great reservoir and make her fountain dry.
