Summary: Physical mountains are intimidating. There are almost immovable. Spiritual mountains are even more fearsome, they instil fear. Spiritual mountains represent challenges in life that defy human solutions.

TEXT: ZECHARIA 4:7

"Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it."

SPIRITUAL MOUNTAINS

Physical mountains are intimidating and we require courage and technique to conquer them. Spiritual mountains are even more fearsome, we need prayer and faith to subdue them. Physical mountains intimidate while spiritual mountains creates fear but courage and faith conquers fear. 2 Tim 1:7 says: "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." You have what it takes to overcome the challenges standing as mountains before you. You will overcome all your challenges in Jesus name.

MOUNTAIN MOVERS

A great mountain stood before David as he prepared to enter into his place of glory. It was intimidating, colossal and vomiting shame on the nation of Israel. In our lives, we experience challenges with huge hands of shame knocking at the door. Instead of covering; David stood firm, affirmed his faith in the God that is able to level every mountain and Goliath fell before him. He rode on his mountain to fame and glory. The Lord will flatten every mountain before you. The challenges you face today will become your stepping stone to glory in Jesus name.

The red sea was a monumental mountain before Moses and the Israelites, God made it an expressway to victory. The cross was a mountain before Jesus but God made it a pathway to salvation for humanity. The wall of Jericho was a gaint obstacle to Joshua and the people of Israel but God used it a stepping to their glorious destiny. God is ready and waiting to turn the challenges you face today into testimonies. The challenges starring at you today will become the expressway to your victory in Jesus name. They will become stepping stones to your glorious destiny in Jesus name.

MOUNTAIN LANGUAGE

Who art thou; O great mountain? The mountain before Zerubbabel was addressed as a personality. This tells us that there are spiritual personalities behind the challenges we face. To overcome our challenges, we need to speak to these powers to give way. Jesus said: "For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith" (Mark 11:23).

Mountains have ears. Challenges of life hear words of fear or faith and respond. They either grow bold or blow up. We need to speak the word of God to overcome the powers behind the challenges plaguing our lives.

Goliath heard David's cinfession of faith and fell. This is the mountain language David spoke to the gaint obstacle before him and the people of Israel:

"You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the LORD of Heaven’s Armies—the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.Today the LORD will conquer you, and I will kill you and cut off your head. And then I will give the dead bodies of your men to the birds and wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel! And everyone assembled here will know that the LORD rescues his people, but not with sword and spear. This is the LORD’s battle, and he will give you to us!" (1 Sam 17: 45-47 NLT).

The wall of Jericho danced to the trumpet sound and collapsed.

The red sea listened to the whispering of the voice of the wind of God (Holy Spirit) and split into two.

Sin drank the blood of Jesus on the cross and the blood that speaks forgiveness spoke and Satan released man from the bondage of sin.

CONCLUSION

As you speak the word of God today, the powers behind your challengers will hear and fall in Jesus name. Every mountain before you will become plain in Jesus name.

PRAYER

I speak to every challenge in my life, hear today, I am the temple of the Almighty God, I overcome you by the blood of Jesus. You will crumble and fall in the name of Jesus.

CONFESSION:

The King of glory dwells in me. I overcome by the blood of Jesus.

God bless you. Shalom.
