Summary: Positive words bring about positive things

Power Words

Mark 11:23 - For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

There are three aspects to applying Godly speech that will change your world.

1. To remove

There are things in our lives that have to be removed through the spoken word. They are mountains that must be cast into the sea by our words. These mountains can be sin, strongholds, or bondages that can be removed from our lives by creative words because God’s creation responds to words.

2. To change

There are things that we need to change. There are things that are in our lives that do not line up with God’s Word and we should bring them up to God’s standard by speaking words by faith in the name of Jesus.

3. To add

Matthew 6:33 - Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you.

This means that there are things that could be missing in our lives and God wants us to ensure that these things are added. This could be healing, possessions, and blessings.

There is nothing wrong with possessions as long as possessions do not possess us. There is nothing wrong with being blessed by God because God desires to bless His people.

Words that kill

Words are vehicles that can also kill. That is why our words must be in line with God’s Word.

Fear is opposite to faith and when we allow fear to influence us to speak negative words, we will reap the fruit of those words.

If the devil can convince you to speak death over your situation, chaos and darkness will rule over you. If he can convince you to confess that you are a failure, you will fail.

Negative words bring negative things. What are they? It could be premature death, sickness, a broken marriage, failure as a parent, failure in business, and many other things.

Positive words bring about positive things. What are they? They could be the right partner, health and healing, prosperity, a successful marriage and family, successful career, and much more.

Prophetic words

Prophetic words have power. Prophetic words are words that are spoken into creation and creation responds after a period of time has elapsed. Prophecy is God speaking into His creation, but it does not happen immediately. It happens at a time in the future.

A prophetic word over your life is important because it holds the promise of your future. Write down your prophecies and pray over them.

1 Timothy 1:18 - This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare.

I have made a habit of writing all my prophecies down over the past 20 years and most of them have come to pass. Prophetic words define your future. They create and shape your future.

We know that the Bible is filled with prophetic words that have been spoken over the earth and relate to its future condition.

Lucifer did not speak words which were in accordance with his creative purpose. He was created as an anointed cherub to worship God.

But he did not see himself as God saw him. He saw himself as someone whose throne would become greater than God’s throne. The journey he chose did not coincide with the journey God had ordained for him and that placed him on a collision course with God.

That is why it is so important to discover your purpose and to speak words that line up with your destiny. When you discover who you are, you can speak what you are to become and that is what you will be.

When you cooperate with God’s will for your life, you will become successful in the sight of God.

When God’s children do not respond to what they are to become in terms of their prophetic purpose, they will leave a trail of chaos behind them and can be the most dangerous people around.

You have God’s Word. Find out what the Word of God says about your situation and when you apply those words by faith, your situation will respond accordingly, because God’s creation must respond to His Word.
