PRAYER PRESCRIPTIONS
In the following verses, James is like and expert doctor giving a medical prescriptions. He is introducing the most powerful medicine ever invented - the Prayer Medicine.
I - It is the antidote for suffering and other problems
13Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms.
II – It is to be continued even during success

III – It could be more effective if done with authorized supervision
14Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.
IV - It is effective when being done by faith
15And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
V - It should be done with proper diagnosis and counseling
16Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
VI - Its unlimited power is not based on the greatness of men but on God
17Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.
VII - Its source is always available, it is never expires and is never out of stock.
18And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.
