Matt 16:13-19

“13When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, "Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? " 14And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. 15He saith unto them, "But whom say ye that I am? " 16And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17And Jesus answered and said unto him, "Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. " 18"And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. " 19"And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."

We have been discussing, the several Precious Stones that we have as a church and how these Stones of Remembrance should remain alive in our lives and towards our next generation. These are the standards that we should hold dear to our lives and if anything we leave to our families it should be these Precious Stones. Thursday we spoke of the first three stones that we have as an Apostolic Church today.

The Church – Reverence, The Body of Christ, Responsibility

Economic System of the Church – Tithes and Offerings

Holiness – Living a life concecrated to Jesus Christ,

Lev19:2

“Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the LORD your God am holy.”

Before Peter wrote it, God had given this Stone of Holiness to the Children of Israel, to God’s children.

I Pet 1:16

“Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”

Holiness:

Heb 12:14

“Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.”

Holiness begins in the interior of the heart and penetrates to the outward living of each and every one of us.

I Cor 6:19-20

“19What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

“19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.”(NIV)

It seems more churches and preachers are preaching against the standards of HOLINESS rather than for the standards of Holiness.

It used to be where all women kept certain modesties, Christian or not, because they had certain morals that held them to those morals. It used to be that men, knew that you take off your hat when you enter a building, now we see people come into the house of God and they don’t even flinch about taking it off.
