We live in a world where everything changes – don’t we? Just ponder in your minds recent world events!
MHC vs.18-29 - Mount Sinai, on which the Jewish church state was formed, was a mount such as might be touched, though forbidden to be so, a place that could be felt; so the Mosaic dispensation was much in outward and earthly things Under the gospel all may come with boldness to God’s presence. The gospel church is called Mount Zion; there believers have clearer views of heaven, and more heavenly tempers of soul. All the children of God are heirs, and every one has the privileges of the first-born.
Heb 12:28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
ACC - God reigns among men, and he reigns in the hearts of them that believe, and his kingdom is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Let us have grace Let us have, keep, or hold fast, the benefit or gift, that is, the heavenly kingdom which God has given us.

What is important to you? When everything is “shaken” what remains? We have an inheritance in the kingdom of God for eternity that will never be shaken. What do you value the most? Where do your priorities lie? What do you hold dear and is worth dying for?
As we devote our lives to Christ, He will purge us of those nonessential desires, if we allow Him to do so. This process continues throughout our lives. What does God’s fire need to consume in your life to cleanse and clarify His calling in your life? As we focus our worship and adoration on Him, He will bring clarity to your purpose and allow only those things of value to remain. Someone once said, “Salvation is free. Discipleship costs us everything.” Ask yourself; what needs to be removed from our lives so that with single-mindedness, we can focus on eternity?

The author of Hebrews tells us that God himself will shake the whole earth, which includes God’s people. The author states in verse 26 that God will not shake only the earth, but also the heavens. Most scholars agree that the unusual phrasing is meant to show that the end-time shaking will include not only the world in general but even those who have already entered God’s kingdom “heavens.”
Peter alludes to this judgment in 1 Peter 4:17: “For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?”
Divine shaking separates the shakable from the unshakable
1 John 2:17 states, “The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.” Divine shaking intends to bring to an end the worldly system to bring about the kingdom rule of Christ.

THE WORD OF GOD CANNOT BE SHAKEN
Mark 13:31 quotes Jesus as saying, ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.’ And Peter tells us in 1 Peter 1:25 that ‘… the word of the Lord stands forever.’
God’s Word, like Himself is not created. It will remain forever. It is unchangeable. We may try to change and manipulate it – but in the end we will discover that our efforts were in vain. It cannot be shaken!
The Bible is living and powerful and eternal.
Each time we read the Bible we may be sure of three unshakable things:
• ITS POWER CANNOT BE SHAKEN. Hebrews 4:12 says this about Scripture – ‘For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.’ The word of God has power to convict, to convert, to cleanse, to comfort and to counsel – and its power will never alter.
• ITS PROMISES CANNOT BE SHAKEN. It has been estimated that there are over 30,000 promises in God’s word – ranging from promises that God will never leave or forsake us, to promises of holy and righteous judgement. And He will remain faithful to them all – for the God of truth and faithfulness has made these promises.
• ITS PROPHECIES CANNOT BE SHAKEN. Many of the Bibles prophecies have already been literally fulfilled and the prophecies that await fulfilment will also one day be literally fulfilled.
We serve an unchanging God who is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
