Summary: God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called.

A New Beginning

The Rescue!

God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called.

Genesis 1:1&2

1In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2Now the earth

was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the

Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

When Chaos is all around and you have no direction and can not see where

to go remember this story.

Two Horses ~ Author Unknown

Just up the road from my home is a field, with two horses in it.

>From a distance, each looks like every other horse. But if you stop your

car, or are walking by, you will notice something quite amazing.

Looking into the eyes of one horse will disclose that he is blind.

His owner has chosen not to have him put down, but has made a good home

for him.

This alone is amazing.

If nearby and listening, you will hear the sound of a bell. Looking around

for the source of the sound, you will see that it comes from the smaller

horse in the field.

Attached to her halter is a small bell. It lets her blind friend know

where she is, so he can follow her.

As you stand and watch these two friends, you’ll see how she is always

checking on him, and that he will listen for her bell and then slowly walk

to where she is, trusting that she will not lead him astray. When she

returns to the shelter of the barn each evening, she stops occasionally

and looks back, making sure her friend isn’t too far behind to hear the

bell.

Like the owner of these two horses, God does not throw us away just

because we are not perfect or because we have problems or challenges. He

watches over us and even brings others into our lives to help us when we

are in need.

Sometimes we are the blind horse being guided by the little ringing bell

of those who God places in our lives. Other times we are the guide horse,

helping others see. Good friends are like this You don’t always see them,

but you know they are always there.

Please listen for my bell and I’ll listen for yours.

Have you ever wondered what God has saved us from, beside the chaos of our

lives with out Him? Or what He really wants from us? Or what He rescued us

for?

Ephesians 1:3-12

3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed

us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4For he

chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless

in his sight. In love 5he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through

Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will-6to the praise of

his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7In

him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in

accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8that he lavished on us with all

wisdom and understanding. 9And he made known to us the mystery of his will

according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, 10to be put

into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment-to bring

all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ.

11In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the

plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his

will, 12in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be

for the praise of his glory

Wow what a life God has in store for us if only we accept it and live it

to the full.

Romans 5:5-11

5And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into

our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ

died for the ungodly. 7Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man,

though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. 8But God

demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners,

Christ died for us.

9Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be

saved from God’s wrath through him! 10For if, when we were God’s enemies,

we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more,

having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! 11Not only is

this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through

whom we have now received reconciliation.

The real reason God rescued us is because He loves us nothing more nothing

less. ALL WE NEED TO DO IS ACCEPT IT AND ACT ON IT.
