Summary: Jesus has chosen to introduce the entire world to His Father.

"His Plan Revealed” Matthew 11:25-30

11:25-26, the arrogant and know-it-all are the ones that will suffer. They refuse to open their minds to something new and a different way of seeing God.

The laws/life of the day was overwhelming to the people just like all the things we have to do with today. They were so burdened down with what we would call RED tape. They could not keep up with them.

Jesus is saying, “Trust me, come to me and I will give you relief”. What I’m asking will help you get through all this stuff in life.

Let’s discard all the confusing stuff, let’s get back to the basics of our life. Do you know that Jesus NEVER once tried to prove that there was a God that was and is the basic of life?

He was, He is, and He will be.

The faith of a child is all we need to receive what God has for us. Science keeps trying to disprove the Bible and God, but every time it comes back as more proof of whom God is. They can not disprove God.

Matthew 18:2-4, 2He called a little child and had him stand among them. 3And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Let’s get past all of the small print and the legalist burden that society has tied us to. Let’s clear our minds of all the RED tape. Let’s get right down to the YES and NO questions and answers. Something a child, a beginner can understand.

That is where we are going, “Come to me and I will help”.

11:27, this sounds like a game of musical chairs doesn’t it?

You can not be introduced to the Son unless the Father does it, but you can’t know the Father unless the Son makes that introduction.

This reminds me of my parents, I would ask one of them if I could go or do something, the reply would be, “its okay with me if it’s okay with your mother.” So I would go and ask mom, the reply would be, “its okay with me if it’s okay with your father.”

I could go, but I couldn’t, so what can I do or can’t I do?

Isn’t it wonderful that the Son, Jesus, has chosen to introduce the entire world to His Father? He says in verse 28 “come to me, all you who are weary and burdened”.

The decision was made; you are not getting the musical chairs routine, the decision has been made, COME ALL.

This portion of scripture has been quoted and used to encourage people for centuries, but what does it mean to you?

Weary and heavy laden – Tired and the load is not getting any lighter

Take my Yoke – A yoke that fits, take what I have for you.

Learn from Me – He will show you how to get through this time

I am gentle and humble in heart – As long as you are trying the help will be there

You will find rest for your souls – comfort of knowing you are not alone, ease of mind

Yoke is easy – A double yoke. The tools to do the work will be there to make the job easier.

Burden is light – The right tools (knowledge and wisdom) make the burden bearable. Cut the job down to size.

ON and on, we can apply this scripture to any and all parts of your life.

This is the subject for today, He can make it right.

This is His Plan Revealed to you. COME TO ME AND I WILL HELP.

We can get through all this stuff, sorrow, stress, worry, fear, life and death, and eternity.

If you are under any kind of burden, maybe you are fighting a problem at work, a relationship is in trouble, I know some have just went through the loss of a loved one. We could be dealing with your spiritual condition.

No matter what the problem or burden is; Jesus is asking you to bring it to Him. He is here to help.

I know that you are saying, yea, yea, yea, that’s okay for some people but my problems are bigger than that.

You think that this Jesus is not capable of helping with your problems. Your burdens are too big and complicated to just put them in Jesus’ hands. It’s going to take some hands on type of work.

Think of it this way, if you need to move the sofa across the room, but it is heavy. And you have a very nice carpet with a very expensive area accent rug in the middle of the room, that is to big to move. You could make every effort to inch the sofa a little at a time until it is where you want it, or you could have some help. You and your help pick the sofa up, swing it around and places it just where you want it.

Peter, Tax money: Matt. 17:27, food, healing

That’s what we are talking about, asking for help and receiving it.

Jesus is the same now as he was then.

Deuteronomy 11:13-15, 13So if you faithfully obey the commands I am giving you today--to love the LORD your God and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul-- 14then I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and oil. 15I will provide grass in the fields for your cattle, and you will eat and be satisfied.

Supply our needs whether it is rain or healing. He did not say that the work would be done for you, He said to faithful and obey and He would provide.

When you have someone to turn to, someone who cares about you.

He not only cares, but He is someone that has the power to lighten your load. The struggle of life will become bearable.

He will share the burden; He will join you while you are pulling the cart of life. The yoke will be sized to fit you better and you will be given the strength to handle the burden.

A paper boy with a flat tire on his bike, Jesus can be that tire, full of air to help carry the load

Footprints In The Sand, author un-known.

One night a man had a dream.

He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord.

Scenes from his life flashed across the sky and he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, one belonging to him and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of his life had flashed before him, he recalled that at the lowest and saddest times of his life there was only one set of footprints.

Dismayed, he asked, "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you’d walk with me all the way.

I don’t understand why, when I needed you most, you would leave me."

The Lord replied, "My precious child. I love you and I would never leave you.

During your times of trial and suffering when you saw only one set of footprints...

That was when I carried you.”

Do you need to be carried today?

Is there something in your life that needs to be removed?

Is there something you want Jesus to do for you today?

It could be to help you through a time of sorrow, a situation in your life that needs attention.

Maybe you need to turn your life over to the Savior who is asking you to “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
