FISHED ALL NIGHT AND TAKEN NOTHING?
ATTITUDES CAN MAKE OR BREAK GOD’S PEOPLE ---
NEVERTHELESS AT THY WORD!

Readily willing to share resources.
I. THERE CAN GROW A TENDANCY TOWARDS SELF-EXCUSE AND
SELf- JUSTIFICATION ATTITUDES THAT PALLIATE GOD’S PROMISES AND PROVISIONS.
HAVE WE DONE WHAT WOULD HINDER GOD?
CHOICES HAVE CONSEQUENCES.
A. Have you ever been washing a car and a pinch come in the water hose?
We will walk away from the hose to identify the cause of the blockage.
B. Spiritually we tend to know there is a spiritual blockage, but we will sit back and wait for the solution, and not be aware that we have the solution.
Malachi 3:8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
C. BUT YE SAY:
WHERE IN HAVE WE ROBBED GOD?
This identifies a serious attitude problem, ---
THE PROBLEM OF THE HEART IS THE HEART OF THE PROBLEM.
II. THERE IS A SOLUTION TO ATTITUDE PROBLEMS!
WILL WE TRUST GOD? WILL WE TRUST HIS PLAN? WILL WE TRUST HIS MAN?
A. SELF-JUSTIFICATION CAN KILL LUKEWARM, WRONG PRIORITY SAINTS. WE DESIRE TO TAME DOWN SIN AND OFFENSES AGAINST A HOLY GOD.
B. IS IT POSSIBLE TO ACCEPT WRONG AS THE NORM, INSTEAD OF SEEING THE TRUTH BY THE MIRROR OF THE HOLY SPIRIT?
C. DO WE SEE THE WORD? BELIEVE THE WORD?
ACCEPT THE POWER OF THE WORD? DO WE LOOK THROUGH GOD’S EYES?
NIV
Malachi 3:8 "Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me.
"But you ask, ’How do we rob you?’
"In tithes and offerings.
LIVING
Malachi 3:8 "Will a man rob God? Surely not! And yet you have robbed me.
" ’What do you mean? When did we ever rob you?’
"You have robbed me of the tithes and offerings due to me.
D. THE REAL BATTLE OF ATTITUDE IS MUCH MORE THAN WHAT WE SAY, IT IS ALIGNING WITH WHAT GOD SAYS.
E. Every action demands a reaction!
If you throw a rock in the lake, there will logically follow a reaction.
F. The battle of self- inflicted spiritual wounds can limit God’s plan.
We BLAME others, we excuse ourself.
We compare our self to those of lesser ability?
G. YOUR ATTITUDES, YOUR DIRECTION, ---
WHAT YOU LOVE --- YOU WILL FIND TIME TO DO!
H. WHAT DO YOU MEAN? WHEN DID I ROB GOD?
III. DO WE MAKE HAPPINESS? DO WE MAKE UNHAPPINESS?
THIS IS THE BATTLE OF ATTITUDES.
ARE WE THE TYPE OF CHRISTIAN THAT STANDS AT THE WINDOW OF GOD’S STOREHOUSE AND LOOKS INSIDE WITH DESIRE?
STANDING OUTSIDE THE PORTALS ---
A. SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW --- YOU’LL FIND ----????
B. The appearance of happiness could be in the line of attitude of the pleasure of the forbidden fruit.
FORBIDDEN FRUIT MAKES BAD JAMS.
C. We used to sing this song ---
Standing somewhere in the shadows you’ll find Jesus...
D. I have been to enough public events to understand, there is a spot-light for the center of attention...
Why would we be satisfied to allow Jesus to stand somewhere in the shadows?
Malachi 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.
E. THERE WAS A HUGE CANDY SHOP IN A DOWNTOWN CITY.
The window was full of delicious fresh made candies.
There in the window was a sign that stated:
PLEASE DO NOT LICK THE WINDOW.
F. ARE WE THE TYPE OF PERSON THAT HAS THE ATTITUDE THAT I AM ALWAYS ON THE OUTSIDE LOOKING IN ON THE BLESSINGS OF GOD’S STORHOUSE?
G. WELL, GOD HAS GIVEN YOU AN INVITATION:
COME! COME ON IN TO THE STOREHOUSE OF DIVINE PROVISION AND DIVINE HEALTH.
H. A FRIEND OF MINE WENT TO THE DOCTOR!
They sad, Doc, my blood pressure may be high?
The Doctor said: WHY?
They replied: SOME IDIOT JUST PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF ME, AND THEY MAD ME SO MAD!
The doctor said: THEY DID NOT MAKE YOU MAD, YOU MADE YOURSELF MAD!
Now they are mad at the doctor, and their blood pressure was high.
IV. THE PROPER ATTITUDE ESTABLISHES THE PROPER SYSTEM OF TRUST.
FAITH MAKES THE FIRST CAKE... THE FIRST CAKE:
WILL WE BELIEVE THE WORDS OF A MAN? A MAN OF GOD?
A. WHAT? SAY THAT AGAIN?
1 Kings 17:13 And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make
for thee and for thy son.
B. THERE IS AN ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT THAT GOD REQUIRES OF THE POOR WIDOW WOMAN?
C. THERE IS A DIVINE CONDITION STIPULATED THAT WOULD RELEASE THE DIVINE PLAN TO RECEIVE UNTIL ---
D. SOMEBODY MUST TRUST GOD AND RELEASE THEIR FAITH, ELSE WE SHALL FOREVER STAY SPIRITUAL MIDGETS!
1 Kings 17:14 For thus saith the Lord God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the Lord sendeth rain upon the earth.
E. WHAT IF THE LADY REFUSED AND MADE THE PREACHER’S CAKE LAST?
V. THIS LITTLE ACT OF FAITH BECOMES A GREAT --- MAGNANIOUS ACT OF GOD...
IF YOU NEED A MAGNANIMOUS MOVE OF GOD, YOU MUST RELEASE YOUR MEASURE OF FAITH.
Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to
think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
A. HOW MUCH IS A MEASURE OF FAITH?
Well, God gives the measure of faith. How much is a measure of faith?
B. It is up to you, God gives you enough faith to handle whatever lies before you.
Little test? Little faith!
Big test? Big Faith!
MAGNANIMOUS TEST? MAGNANIMOUS FAITH!
C. The more your exercise you faith and know the
word --- THE MORE MAGNANIMOUS WORKS YOUR MAGNANIMOUS FAITH CAN ACCOMPLISH.
D. IT IS HIGH TIME TO ARISE AND RELEASE GOD’S MAGNANIMOUS UNLIMITED POWER.
E. ONLY YOUR ATTITUDE AND FAITH CAN LIMIT WHAT GOD DOES IN YOU AND THROUGH YOU!
F. I WILL ARISE AND GO TO THE FATHER!
VI. HEAR THE SAD HOPELESS WORDS: I HAVE FISHED ALL NIGHT AND TAKEN NOTHING! DON’T STOP THERE --- AT THY WORD I WILL ---
Luke 5:5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, And have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
A. THERE IS A GREAT QUESTION OF FAITH:
Here comes a storm? --- IN WHOM WILL I TRUST?
Here comes a terrible trial of fire? --- IN WHOM WILL I TRUST?
Here comes the lions’ den? --- IN WHOM WILL I TRUST?
Psalm 18:2 The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation,
and my high tower.
B. I WILL TRUST THE LORD ---
Philip. 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Jude 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
C. FAITH IN GOD IS OUR ONE SOLID ROCK!
UNMOVED, UNSHAKABLE!
D. BEYOND THE REACH OF SELF-CENTERED SELFISHNESS!
BEYOND THE PUT DOWNS OF CRITICS AND CYNICS ---
E. THE ATTITUDE OF FAITH WILL ALWAYS RELEASE THE BLESSING OF GOD AND LIBERTY.
F.WE HAVE A RESOURCE!
NEED PATIENCE?
NEED POWER?
NEED WISDOM?
NEED STRENGTH?
NEED PARDON?
NEED GRACE?
G. Trials, hopelessness, troubles, heartaches, pain and disappointments can drive us to our knees?
Prayer will drive away our trials, hopelessness, troubles, heartaches, pain and disappointments by faith!
VII. DO WE UNDERSTAND AND SPEAK IN THE LANGUAGE OF FAITH? QUIT CRYING IN YOUR TENT! BY FAITH WE WILL NOT REACT, WE SHALL ACT IN FAITH ALONE!
A. THE LANGUAGE AND ATTITUDE OF FAITH CAN SEE INTO THE REALM OF DIMNESS AND BLINDED EYES AND SEE CLEARLY! FAITH LAYS DOWN THE BLIND COAT AND MOVES TOWARD THE SAVIOR UNTIL ---
I SEE HIM!
B. FAITH IS A DEAF EAR HEARING THE WORD OF GOD AND SPEAKING OF DELIVERANCE FROM MUTE LIPS.
C. FAITH IS A WEAK, TREMBLING HAND REACHING TO THE POWER BENEATH THE HEM OF THE GARMENT.
D. FAITH IS A LAME MAN JUMPING AND RUNNING AND SCREAMING, I WILL MAKE MY OWN BED AND CARRY IT HOME.
E. FAITH BRINGS THE FOURTH MAN TO WALK IN THE MIDST OF THE FIERY FURNACE AND COME OUT WITH OUT SMELLING OF SMOKE.
F. FAITH, EVEN LITTLE FAITH IN A GREAT AND MIGHTY GOD --- CAN DO ALL THINGS, --- THE IMPOSSIBLE CAN BECOME PROBABLE.
G. FAITH PRESSES TO THE UNCLAIMED AND STAKES A DIVINE CLAIM, THIS IS MINE! THIS IS MINE.
H. MAGNANIMOUS TEST? MAGNANIMOUS FAITH!
DREAM OF THOUSAND DOLLAR ANSWERS TO DIME PRAYERS?
MAGNANIMOUS FAITH WILL MOVE MAGNANIMOUS TEST?
LORD USE US IN MAGNANIOUS FAITH!
When God submits his test and faith to human resources and human reasoning, they will not be great, wonderful, or Divine. Not man, bur God!
God does His best work, when man can see NO WAY!
WAIT ON THE LORD, AGAIN I SAY: WAIT!
