David & Jonathan — 2 Sam. 1:26

> 2 Sa 1:26 (KJV) I am distressed for thee, my brother Jonathan: very pleasant hast thou been unto me: thy love to me was wonderful, passing the love of women.

> 2 Sa 1:26 (NIV) I grieve for you, Jonathan my brother; you were very dear to me. Your love for me was wonderful, more wonderful than that of women.

David paid tribute to Jonathan’s unselfish, caring quality when he said that Jonathan’s love for him was "more wonderful than that of women."

- David wasn’t implying a sexual relationship.

- He didn’t say that Jonathan’s love was greater than his love for women.

- He said it was greater than the love of women.

- He was simply stating that

- Jonathon’s love was so remarkable that it exceeded the kind of sacrificial love women are known to display towards their families.

- No hint of homosexual relationship

- Both were married and had families

- David was married to his sister Michael

- 50% Homosexual males are believed to be HIV

died are homosexuals.

- Today the average life span of males is 75 and

- For male homosexual it is 41 yrs.

Lesbians is 45 yrs.

- God is not willing that any should parish

Revelation 21:8 (Worldwide English (New Testament)) Some people will be thrown into the big fire which burns with sulphur dust that chokes people. These are the people: those who give in to fear, those who do not believe, those who are bad, those who kill, those with wrong ways of using sex, the witch-doctors, those who worship idols, and all those who love lies. That fire is the second death.’

- This would mean that if your are born homosexual you would never have a chance of eternal life

> To raise homosexuality to the level of an

accepted alternative lifestyle

> Over 28 "gay" or lesbian characters or shows

are currently on during so called prime time "family hour."

> Introduce and implement curriculum in

education

> Legalize homosexual marriages

> Rights to adoption and foster care

> Open access to health care insurance, and

organized programs

> To have civil rights protection based on sexual

preference

+ The church needs to provide a Christian

environment of love, understanding, personal acceptance, and support.
