Can’t bring your old ways in a new day
Mark 2:21
No man also seweth a piece of new cloth on an old garment: else the new piece that filled it up taketh away from the old, and the rent is made worse.
Introduction
This year God Is going to do phenomenal things for the body of Christ; for many of us he is going to give us a second chance to complete the things we did not complete in 2007.
Understand that 2007 represents completion and closure and 2008 represents new beginnings.
Jesus gives us this parable to show that old and new do not mix; he says that sewing a new piece of cloth on an old garment would only make it worst. Same concept with this Christian walk, we cannot make a transition with an old mind set
New mercies and New grace
Luke 5:36-39
36 And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old.
37 And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish.
38 But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.
39 No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.
Rev 21:5
Then He who sat on the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And He said to me, Write, for these words are true and faithful.

Isa 62:2
The Gentiles shall see your righteousness,
And all kings your,glory. You shall be called by a new name Which the mouth of the LORD will name.
New Beginnings for many of us will represent one of these three things:
1) Bless 2) Brake 3)Give
1) Blessing us will be like spiritual anesthesia - God will bless us so good until leaving his presence will not be an option.
2) Braking us will require him putting us on the spiritual operating table that he may be able to do surgery on us.
Spiritual surgery represents him taking away the old and replacing it with the new instead of bandaging our wounds.
3) Giving us will be the phenomenal thing because when the world sees us they will see a change in our:
1) Mind Set
2) Spirit
3)Attitude
This year in closing represents Harvest
Harvest = A season of Grace

Rev 14:15
And another angel came out of the temple, crying out with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, Put in your sickle and reap, for the hour to reap has come, because the harvest of the earth is ripe.
