Note VS 29- “is there not a cause?”
•Cause- principle, meaningful, worthy of support
What does Satan do to God’s people?
I Samuel 17:9-11 [Explain]
This is what Satan does to God’s people
Goliath- taunted, frustrated, humiliated, aggravated, and tormented.
Note- Goliath represents Satan
You need to rest spiritually
You are resting spiritually when you are:
1.praying
2.spending time with God
3.reading God’s Word
People mistake these three things as spiritual exercise.
David- willing & obedient
When you are obedient to what God and His word says you are practicing spiritual exercise.
Note VS 29- “is there not a cause”
People told David that he was just a little boy. (how could he make a difference, how could he fight,)
He was expecting God to be on his side.
Revelation 13:12-14 - evilness, secular power, religious compromise [Explain]
And he exerciseth all the (power) of the first beast before him, and causeth the
earth and them which dwell therein to (worship) the first beast, whose deadly wound was (healed).
And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those (miracles) which he had (power) to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a (sword), and did live.
Note- this is Satan
Satan comes against the cause of God
We must tell him NO!
Here am I, send ME!

Note VS 8- “Here am I, Send Me”
Satan tries to make us be quiet
This is why God is looking for a people who will RISE UP! He is looking at the four corners of the earth and is raising those who are willing.
You must say I am Willing!
You must practice spiritual exercise.
Are you willing to rise up.
I ask you again is there not a cause?
•Cause- principle, meaningful, worthy of support
Our four & No More
We need to get out of our comfort zone
We have gotten use to praising God when we are in church.
God wants us to rise above that, he wants to take us to the next level.
If we do not rise up our generation will not make it.
We have gotten so comfortable that we do not see the cause.
And because of this, God is raising up sub primal leaders.
If we will set our jaw like a flit and will rise up, we will not be able to hold people in this room
We have to make up our mind, and rise up above that cloud of adversity.
It is time for a fight we cannot just sit around and let the Devil do what he wants.
We as Christians, we are stuck in this box and think-“What a day that will be when we get to heaven.”
We are so stuck on thinking- “When I get over there.”- well if we do not rise up no one will be over there, they will all be in hell.
You are not here just to be here- You are here for a cause.
You must witness to people no matter were you are.
If someone who did not know Jesus Christ was to walk through those doors, you must be ready to introduce them to him.
Matthew 11:12 [Explain]
And from the days of John the Baptist until now the (kingdom of heaven) suffereth (violence), and the (violent take it by force).
We have got to fight for it because the devil is not going to let us have it.
You have come from God- to live for God- to one day go back to God.
Is there not a cause?
You are here for a cause- you were not put on this earth just to be here- no you were put here for a reason.
You may say- “I don’t have a ministry” – no you do the bible says in-
Mark 16:15-
And he said unto them, Go ye into (all the world), and (preach the gospel) to every (creature).
It is Not easy & it Won’t be easy
The devil does not want the gospel to get out.
Example: Stephen
They stoned Stephen and left him to die, then he got up and went back into the city and taught again.
When they stone you down you get back up and go back into the city and preach again.
Note- this is why you cannot be complacent. Because if you are you won’t be able to get back up. Your pride will stand in your way. You will not servive.
Note- You must walk by faith and not by sight (II Corinthians 5:7)
Ephesians 6:12 [Explain]
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against (principalities), against (powers), against the (rulers of the darkness) of this (world), against (spiritual wickedness) in (high places).
You are going to have to fight- you cannot witness without fighting.
When you begin to fight and let God manifest himself, you will be able to kill with kindness and with love.
Without a fight and God’s manifest presence- Satan will have his way.
Note-
When the children of God stepped out of their tent and saw Goliath they ran back in. I don’t want that to be said about me, I am going to rise up and fight for my God.
Are You? Is there not a cause?
What was David?
He was Obedient.
The fight starts with obedience and when we obey we are to obey quickly.
We are the lion of the tribe of Judah and we do not need to let the enemy change us into a domesticated cat.
When we speak we need to have a roar.
Is there a cause? Yes!
God’s cause is our calling.
John 21:15-17 [Explain]
So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, loves thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, (Feed my lambs).
He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, (Feed my sheep).
He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said until
him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, (Feed my sheep).
Note- “feed my sheep”
God’s cause is our calling.
Is there Not a Cause?
Five steps you must take in order to Rise Up!
1.be obedient/ willing to follow him
2.realize your purpose
3.realize that God’s cause and your calling is inspired by the Holy Ghost/Spirit.
4.realize that God’s cause and your calling starts with you.
5.realize that God’s cause and your calling is sustained
When you serve in this ministry, if you will obey God his authority and the authority he has placed over you; you will began to see what God’s cause is !
Is there not a cause?
Yes!
God’s cause is our calling
