I THINK I’M GOING TO THROW UP...My hands and praise the Lord
I. Are You Sick?...
How many in here this morning have ever been
so sick of something that it made you want to
throw up?
I’m not just talking about being sick with the
flu and feeling like you need to throw up!
I’m not just talking about some sort of sickness
that makes you feel nauseated.
I’m talking about being sick of anything.
Roller coasters, Your spouses driving, Sea
sickness, etc.
Maybe you’re sick of a certain type of food.
And every time you see it, or every time you
smell it it makes you sick.

(Things I Can’t Stomach)
Let’s face it this morning...
There’s just somethings out there that we can’t
stomach.
Like it or not whether it’s a certain type of food,
or a certain smell or whatever it is...
It makes you feel so sick that you actually want
to throw up.
It’s not abnormal.
Even God gets so sick he wants to throw up.
Rev 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth.
I think it’s safe to say that luke warm
Christians make God wanna throw up. Amen?
He can’t stomach their half hearted attempt at
serving Him.
How many’s ever been sick like that before?
So sick that your body gets to a point where it
cant handle certain things or viruses or
ailments motions it responds the way nature
created it to respond.
It takes everything thats within you and throws
it right back up. Amen?
And how many knows that as soon as you
throw up…you always feel better…..
Well who came here this morning looking for a
blessing?
Maybe you didn’t feel so good about life this
morning,
But you just knew if you could make it to
church you could feel so much better.
Anyone here sick and tired of being sick and
tired this morning and you want to feel better...
Is your circumstance making you sick?
Is there anyone here this morning that’s sick of
the Devil?
Are you sick of the problems and troubles
coming your way?
How many got problems?
Well are you sick of the problems this
morning?
Are you sick of being in financial turmoil?
Are you sick of being afflicted and sickly in
your body?
Are you sick of ol’ slew foot trying to steal your
joy?
Are you sick of the enemy trying to kill your
children?
Are you sick of the storms of life?
Are you sick of the way the world is today?
And do you want to feel better?
How many in here have ever been let down
kicked around and over looked?
And you want to do something about it?
You want to feel better?
II. You Need To Throw Up...
PRAISE GOD YOU NEED TO THROW
UP……your hands and worship God.
No matter what your trouble is... Throw up
your hands and worship God?
When the going gets tough the tough start
praising God. Amen?
When the Devil is beating down your door start
praising.
When trouble comes knocking...start praising
When you feel like you can’t go no more keep
on praising God?
Because even though you might not be able to
defeat your enemy, God can. Amen?
And if you keep on praising Him He has to
show up in the middle of your circumstance,
Cause His word says He inhabits the praises of
His people.
He will show up!
God is not a man that He should lie!
He is faithful to do whatever He said He would
do.
And He will fight your battle?
He has already overcome,
And He’ll make an overcomer out of you.
Amen?
When trouble comes,When tests come, and
trials come...
We need to quit letting the fear set in...
We need to fight off those emotions that leave
us powerless to act on God’s Word.
And we need to just get sick of the enemy and
throw up our hands and worship God!
We need to start shouting the victory
And throw up our hands and start praising the
One who gave it!
We need to dance on the grave of the enemy….
Whatever your enemy is
Depression, Hurt, Anger, Fear, Failure,
Whatever the Devil uses to get at you!
You need to dig a spiritual hole..
And put up a spiritual tombstone by it…
And write your enemies name on it so the devil
can see it..
And then tear the ground up dancing on top of
it!!! Amen?
See your worship might not take your
problem away…..
It might not put the enemy in that spiritual
grave yard.
but it lets the devil know……I am back!
I’m not defeated! I’m not backing down!
You can’t steal my joy, Devil!
I’ve got the joy of the Lord on my side!
And its my strength!
He is my source of power!
He is my Rock. He is my Salvation!
He is my Deliverer! The Rose of Sharon!
Jesus Christ, Jehovah God! etc.
You need to tell the devil hey I have my joy
back..
I’ve got my peace back…my song back…….my
praise back
And God inhabits my praise!
Oh you better look out Devil!
Too many Christians today have let the Devil
steal their joy!
And they don’t praise Him in the Storm!
That’s why they live powerless ineffective lives.
Instead of singing praise their singing the blues
Well if you’re sick and tired of singing the blues
This morning how about just throw up...
Your hands and worship Him!
Some of you in here this morning, when you
get home this afternoon, might still face the
same problems you had when you came here,
Some of you may have to go back into a house
filled with unsaved loved ones and face the
same devils, and the same situations that you
Had to face before you got here.
But I’m here to tell you that if you
Throw up... Your hands and praise him.
It’ll make you feel better.
And not only will it make you feel better,
but you will have the joy of the Lord on your
side and that is your strength. Amen?
Throw up... Your hands and worship Him!
Because people who don’t worship are people
who don’t have power,
And people with no power will struggle in their
walk with God!
III. Express Yourself...
We are taught that it is ok to express ourselves
everywere we go.
Cheerleaders urge people to express there love
and devotion to their favorite team at sporting
events,
Doctors and therapist even say its unhealthy to
hold our feelings in….GET IT OUT
They even say its ok for our children to throw
temper tantrums every now and then because
it allows them to express themselves.
In nearly every phase of life we are told to
express ourselves..BUT
When it comes to expressing our love for God
we are told that its uncivilized…
uncalled for….
They want us to keep it on the inside!
They say that we might offend someone!
Well I’m sick and tired of the Devil telling me
when, where, and how I can praise my God.
I’m so sick I might just throw up... my hands
and praise Him!
I might just express myself through my praise.
IV. Raised Palms...
Yadah ..everyone say Yadah!
Its one of the 7 Hebrew words for praise used
in the bible.
7 the perfect number of God and praise…
How many know where praise is perfected?
Mat 21:16 And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise
Out of the mouth of babes he has perfected
praise.
What do babies do?..they raise their hands
toward their parents.
Yadah means to worship God with extended or
raised hands.
It means to willfully throw up... your hands
to praise God.
Here is the key to this word Yadah….
Its used in reference to wringing your hands.
What the bible is referring to is that when
you’re wringing your hands and you don’t
know what to do you need to just throw
up…..your hands and worship God.
V. Judah...
Jacob married Leah and Rachel.
The bible says that Leah was hated.
All she wanted was her husband to love her.
God opened her womb and gave her children.
every time she had a child she thought it would
cause her husband to love her.
God hath looked on my affliction….God hath
heard I was hated…
but no matter what happened she was still
hated……finally she had a son named Judah
she said now I will praise the Lord
The word praise here is Yadah
What she is saying is Lord, I have done all I
know to do.
I cant take it anymore.
All I want is my husband to love me.
I’m sick and tired of being hated!
So I am going to do the only thing I know to do.
throw up...my hands…I give up God….its in
your hands.
She gave up the fight and threw up...her hands.
Some of us spend to much time fighting the
devil or your problems!
The battle is not yours it belongs to the Lord
GOD DOESN’T NEED YOUR HELP
He needs your worship
GOD DOESN’T NEED YOUR HELP
He needs your praise!
Praise gets Gods attention, and worship gets
his response.

Leah named her last son Judah….
it means praise.
We always preach Judah always went first in
battle…that is true.
but we don’t preach it enough….
And we don’t preach it quite like this.
Judah comes from the word Yadah…. and it
literally means throw your hands up!
What the Lord is showing us here is that Yadah
needs to go first in battle!
No matter what you’re facing,
Walk toward your enemy throw your hands up
the enemy thinks your surrendering…
but when they get closer they realize your
throwing your hands up and praising God
GOD THIS ENEMY IS TO BIG FOR ME TO
HANDLE….I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE
AND THEN GOD MOVES IN BECAUSE ITS
REALLY HIS FIGHT
THE ENEMY THINKS YOUR GIVING UP
BUT YOUR REALLY THROWING UP
YOUR HANDS AND PRAISING GOD
Come on its time for someone here this
morning to throw up your hands and worship
God!
Someone needs to give up …..and let God take
over...
You need to surrender…not to the enemy…to
God.
You need to give God your sacrifice of praise
the sacrifice of praise hear denotes the fact that
you are a victim……
it’s the praise you give when you have been
hurt, taken advantage of, used stepped on
kicked around.
Come on there are some victims in this house
tonight.
Whatever you’re going through.
Whatever you’re facing you need to make the
Sacrifice and praise Him in the storm.
You’ve had things happen to you that you
never asked for…you don’t deserve..your
innocent but you have been victimized…..
its time to offer your sacrifice of praise
This is the praise you offer to God when
everything in your life is upside down and
inside out.
when you cant feel God, when you cant trace
him …
when you cant take any more
this is the praise that pushes through the walls
of adversity
come on you need to THROW UP your hands
and worship God give God your sacrifice of praise this morning.
