Moms were at home, Dads were at work. Brothers were in the army, & Sisters got married BEFORE having children!

They are not at home raising our children. The government is doing that for us.

Women looked like ladies; & Men looked like gentlemen. The children looked decent.
(What happened to the days when young men wore shirt & tie & nice slacks to church? The young ladies had dresses.

People loved the truth, & hated a lie They came to church to get IN, & not to get OUT!
(The people wanted to hear the truth of God’s word or in ALL matters)
(IT WAS THE NORMAL THING TO GO TO CHURCH)
(MY TOE HURT & CAN’T MAKE IT)

Hymns sounded Godly; Sermons sounded helpful Shouting sounded normal; & crying sounded often.
(No rock & roll show)
The sermon the man of God preached stepped on toes. The people accepted it, & did something about it
(Men would jump & shout. The women would raise their hankies in the air)
(The altars full of Christians getting right with god)
(God seeing their tears & saying I have got do something)

Cursing was wicked; Drinking was evil; & divorce was unthinkable
(EVEN OUR CHRISTAIN SLAG WORDS THAT WE USE INSTEAD)

The flag was honored; America was beautiful; and God was welcomed!

We read the Bible in public; Prayed in school; & preached on the courthouse steps.

(EVERY SERVICE SOMEONE WAS GETTING SAVED)
(THURSDAY NIGHT PEOPLE WERE GETTING SAVED)
(ON THE BUS ROUTES PEOPLE WERE GETTING SAVED) (At the restaurants people were getting saved)
(PARENTS GETTING SAVED BECAUSE THEIR CHILDREN GOT SAVED IN SUNDAY SCHOOL & SAW A CHANGE & THEY WANTED THAT)

A new birth meant a new life; Salvation meant a changed life; & Joining the church meant attending.
(My Life changed when I got saved)
(I went every where telling people what happened to me)
(No more booze, no more drugs, no more running around, no more cursing, no more hating)

Being a preacher meant you were called of God; & being a deacon meant you would serve the church;
(PREACHER WOULD PREACH THUS SAITH THE LORD THY GOD)
A MAN WHO SAID HIS WIFE THOUGHT HE SHOPULD PREACH
(DEACONS WOULD BACK UP THE PREACHER NOT RUN HIM OFF OR TRY TO RUN THE CHURCH)

Being a Christian meant you would live for Jesus;
Being a sinner meant someone was praying for you!
WE WERE A SEPATRATED THE WORLD KNEW THAT WE WERE DIFERENT

Laws were based on the Bible; Homes read the Bible; and Churches taught the Bible.
I like the old paths, when
Preachers were more interested in new converts, than new clothes, & new cars.
I like the old paths, when.
God was worshipped; Christ was exalted; & the Holy Ghost was followed.
2) Those were the days, when...
We would go witnessing with tears;
Psalms 126:6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
We prayed a lot.
(THE MEN KNEW REVIAL WAS COMING & WE HAD ALL NIGHT PRAYER MEETINGS)
(THE RESULTS GOD CAME DOWN & THINGS HAPPENED)
(WE PRAYED FOR OUR PASTOR & EACH OTHERS, & FOR SOULS)
We would weep over lost souls
(God would see those tears & act on it)
We enjoyed going to church more than any other place!
(WE COULD NOT WAIT FOR SUNDAY TO COME AROUND AGAIN
WE COULD NOT WAIT FOR WEDNESDAY NIGHT)
We would say AMEN to the truth. Would go to the altar to repent of our sin.
We would bring folks to church, and take the Pastor home for dinner.
(NOT HAVE HIM FOR DINNER)
We gave our tithes and offerings gladly.
(I WAS TAUGHT TO BE CHEERFUL)
GOD LOVES A CHEERFUL GIVER
We sought the will of God for everything.
(I’M AFRAID TO MAKE A MOVE WITH OUT GOD)
LADIES WHO ARE SINGLE LET GOD CHOOSE FOR YOU (LIKE MYSELF)
YOUNG MEN LET GOD CHOOSE FOR YOU (THEY GROW UP & GET FAT & UGLY TOO)
We would stand against sin anytime, anywhere.
(YOU COULD COUNT ON THE CHRISTAIN STANDING FOR RIGHT)

JESUS GAVE HIS LIFE FOR THIS RELIGION THAT YOU & I BELIEVE IN

We paid our bills on time We did with out to do it Our testimony was on the line
We disciplined our children But wait we as parents disciplined ourselves 1st
We spent less than we earned Demanded our government do the same
We went to church Our children went to Sunday School
Prayed in school So help me God in the court room
In God we trust on our money We meant it
We expected to prosper Because we worked harder Didn’t expect the government to pay our way
We walk softly & carried a big stick
The America that came back together as a Nation after the depression
The America that feed the starving world
The America who sent out Missionaries to get the Gospel out
The America who provide the world with Bibles
The America who followed & Believed in the KJV Bible
IS THERE ENOUGH IN AMERICA TO DO IT AGAIN
IS THERE ENOUGH IN US TO DO IT AGAIN

A LEADER LIKE MOSES REFUSED TO BE CALLED THE SON OF THE PHAROH’S DAUGHTER
WILLING TO FOLLOW THE LORD’S LEADERSHIP A MILITARY LEADER LIKE JOSHUA WHO KNEW GOD
WHO COULD PRAY & TRUST GOD TO WIN THE BATTLE FPR HIM
WE NEED A FOOD ADMINSTRATOR LIKE JOSEPH WHO KNEW GOD
GOT THE PLANS TO OVER COME FAMINE FROM GOD & FOLLOWED THEM
PREACHERS LIKE JOHN THE BAPTIST WHO FEARED GOD
WOULD NOT BE AFRAID TO PREACH THE GOSPEL
LOOK YOU IN THE EYE & TELL YOU TO REPENT OR GO TO HELL
TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE A SINNER & LOSE YOUR HEAD OVER IT
WE NEED MOTHERS LIKE HANNAH WHO LOVED THE LORD
THEN RAISE UP A CHILD TO SERVE GOD & TO FEAR GOD IN LOVE
CHILDREN LIKE SAMUEL WHO LISTEN TO GOD
THEN ACT UPON WHAT GOD TOLD HIM
WE NEED PHYSIANS LIKE LUKE WHO WOULD
TAKE CARE OF YOU PHYSICAL NEEDS THEN POINT YOU TO THE ONE WHO COULD TAKE CARE OF YOUR SPIRITUAL NEEDS (JESUS)
AMERICA NEEDS A GOD LIKE ISREAL’S GOD OF OLD
NOT THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR GOD
THE MATERIAL GOD THE ENTETAIMENT GOD BUT A REAL GOD WHO LISTENS TO HIS PEOPLE & HELPS THEM & CARES FOR THEM THE GOD WHO FOUGHT THE BATTLES, FED THE PEOPLE, & GUIDED THE PEOPLE. A God who Comfort them in time of need
WE NEED A SAIVOUR LIKE JESUS WHO SAVES FROM THE UTTERMOST TO THE QUTTERMOST FOLK HIS BLOOD IS STILL THER & STILL WORKING
BUT WE HAVE OTHER WAYS & IDEAS TO HEAVEN
AMERICA NEEDS MEN TO MEN
1 Corinthians 16:13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
Men that will be the Spiritual leader
Not the wife us men
Come out of the closet and be a man
WOMEN TO WOMEN
Know your place & be there
CHILDREN TO LEARN THE OLD PATHS
