Summary: Abortion kills the innocent. It destroys that which God has created.

Exodus 1:8-22

The Silence Which Kills

Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph. And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we: Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land. Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses. But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel. And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigour: And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in mortar, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour. And the king of Egypt spake to the Hebrew midwives, of which the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah: And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live. But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive. And the king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said unto them, Why have ye done this thing, and have saved the men children alive? And the midwives said unto Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are lively, and are delivered ere the midwives come in unto them. Therefore God dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty. And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses. And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.

With the exception of homosexuality and gay marriage, no other issue stirs the heart and blood of people more than abortion. Abortion has become one of the most persistently debated topics in America. There are those who are staunchly pro-life or pro-choice. Few people do not have an opinion concerning abortion. Often, we wonder where God wants us to stand on this issue. Let’s examine this passage and others today to discover how God feels about life.

Introduction – Statistics

By Jerry Price - Jan 9, 2006

Who Has Abortions?

• Fifty-two percent of U.S. women obtaining abortions are younger than 25: Women aged 20-24 obtain 33 percent of all abortions, and teenagers obtain 19 percent.

• Black women are more than 3 times as likely as white women to have an abortion, and Hispanic women are 2 1/2 times as likely.

• Forty-three percent of women obtaining abortions identify themselves as Protestant, and 27 percent identify themselves as Catholic.

• Two-thirds of all abortions are among never-married women.

• Over 60 percent of abortions are among women who have had 1 or more children.

• On average, women give at least 3 reasons for choosing abortion: 3/4 say that having a baby would interfere with work, school or other responsibilities; about 2/3 say they cannot afford a child; and 1/2 say they do not want to be a single parent or are having problems with their husband or partner.

Interestingly, I uncovered the statistic that in 1860, there were 160,000 abortions. This number represents more deaths than in the Korean and Viet Nam conflicts. It is also proportionally higher than the number of abortions today. I find it fascinating to hear some say today, “We are looking forward to making abortions safe, rare and legal.”

There are many passages of scripture which do not deal specifically with the word “abortion”, but does apply in principle and practice. Let’s quickly view several passages regarding life and death.

“And you shall not let any of your seed (children) pass through the fire to Molech, neither shall you profane the name of your God: I am the LORD.” Leviticus 18:21

“And they built the high places of Baal which are in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech, which I did not command them, nor did it come into My mind that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.” Jeremiah 32:35

“O Lord, You have searched me and known me. For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.” Psalm 139:1, 13-16

“You shall not murder.” Exodus 20:13

Dr. Calvin Wittman, a seminary and pastor friend of mine, from Applewood Baptist Church in Denver, CO, had this to say about the sixth commandment in Exodus 20:13. I quote this from his message notes on the Book of Exodus.

In the Hebrew language, there are 7 words which can be translated, “to kill.” The one used here in the sixth commandment was chosen by God with great specificity. It speaks uniquely to killing of an innocent person. It speaks primarily to premeditated murder.

Before we can fully understand what this specifically addresses, we need to be clear as to what it does not address.

a. It does not apply to capital punishment. Much to the consternation of some activists, this passage does not prohibit capital punishment. In Genesis 9:6 God makes it clear that when you unjustifiably take someone else’s life, you forfeit your own. This teaching is found throughout the scripture, both in the Old and the New Testaments. Romans 13 speaks to this as well.

b. It does not apply to self-defense. In the news this last week was the case of a man in Texas who shot an intruder who broke into his house. Exodus 22:2 makes it clear that if you kill someone in self defense, you are not to be held guilty for their death.

c. It does not apply to an accidental killing. In Deuteronomy 19:5 the scripture makes provision for those who accidentally kill someone else. In ancient Israel cities of refuge were to be set up where those who had accidentally killed someone else could flee and find sanctuary.

d. It does not apply to certain types of war. Again, this particular word is never used in association with war. There are wars which are justified and wars which are not justifiable. War which serves only the political or financial interest of one country over another are hardly justifiable, but wars which are meant to stop aggression and evil are justifiable.

e. And this word is never used in connection with the killing of an animal. Much to the chagrin of PETA, the bible does not prohibit killing or eating animals. In Genesis 9:3 God gives man permission to kill animals for food. That does not give man a license to be cruel to animals but it clearly says that he can kill them for food.

The specific meaning of the word here translated kill relates to innocent human life. It could be translated like this, “You shall not unlawfully take another human life,” or “You shall not murder.” In its most literal sense the two words which comprise this commandment simply say, “Never murder.” The meaning is clearly unambiguous and explicit.

To the ancient Israelites this was a clear pronouncement that life was sacred and was not to be taken unjustly. They were not to kill each other over property or pride. They were not to allow their rage to lead them to murder one another. God wanted them to know that life was sacred and as the giver of life, it was His place and His place alone to say when and how it could be taken.

Behind this commandment is the ethical theology that all men and women have been created in the image of God and therefore their lives are sacred. Genesis 1:26 tells us that of all of God’s creation, only humanity was created in God’s image, thus, above all other life, human life is to be treasured, respected and preserved.

It is true that all of creation declares the glory of God. The beast of the field, the fowl of the air and the fish of the sea are testimonies to the grandeur and majesty of God’s creative wonder, but it is man and man alone who bears the image of God. It is man who was made unique and in God’s personal image. This is the basis for the sanctity of human life; we are made in God’s image. end of quote

In the New Testament, there are two passages of scripture which stand out to me, even if they do not specifically addresses the abortion issue.

“For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature.” Romans 1:20-26

“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” Galatians 6:7

As we study this passage, I would like for you to observe the meticulous structure of Moses penning the events of the day, as revealed through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

In verses 8-16, we notice…

The POLICY of a Great Government

Not every leader placed in a position of authority is a godly leader. Such was the case here.

The Egyptians had been enduring the Hyskos and had finally overcome them. The Hyskos were foreigners who had wrested control away from the Egyptians years before through deception. The Pharaoh who befriended Joseph probably was a Hyskos. Several hundred years had passed and the Egyptians were reasserting themselves in the land. They had misgivings about the Israelites. Pharaoh launched upon a plan of action to provide national security for his people.

Because of the policy of a great government, we perceive the…

Pharaoh’s DREAD in verses 8-12.

The Pharaoh did not honor or respect the contributions of Joseph and his people. He was afraid that these Semitic people would repossess the land from them. He addresses his people and lays out a plan to keep the Hebrews in check.

In verses 13-15, we discern the…

Pharaoh’s DECEPTION.

He charted a course of deception. As they had been deceived, they would now deceive. He would deal shrewdly with them. He played upon the peoples fear and xenophobia.

The Egyptians response was to afflict and pressure the people. In doing so they could eliminate their perceived enemies.

Pharaoh’s DECREE in verse 16 was to eradicate the Israelites.

Just as Hitler wished to destroy God’s chosen people, Pharaoh conducted a diabolical plan of death and destruction. First, he would enslave and work them mercilessly. This appears to be the forerunner of the Germans Dachau concentration camp motto, “Arbeit Macht Frei” or “Work Makes (one) Free.” Second, he would deprive them of children by killing their male sons at birth. When this did not happen, he would have their newborn sons thrown into the Nile River to appease their god.

This was a time of ethnic cleansing. Ethnic cleansing can be used for a particular peoples, culture or age group. Pharaoh chose to do it through the genocide of the male Hebrew babies. In the Egyptians mind, it became a matter of national security for them.

Pharaoh desired to afflict as much pain and anguish as possible upon the people. He wanted to rob them of their children, their heritage and their future. Pharaoh is a depiction of Satan who wants our destruction and failure. He inflicts pain because he enjoys it. He wants us to deny our faith.

Sometimes we question why God would allow this to happen. I believe God allows suffering in our lives to teach us several things. First, He loves us and does not want us to be complacent and comfortable in this world. This world is not our home. These bodies are only temporary dwelling places. Second, He teaches us to be dependant upon Him. We live by faith and not by sight. And third, He wants us to know that NOTHING can come upon our lives unless it has passed through His hands first.

Illustration – 1973 Supreme Court decision & the F.O.C.A.

I remember when the Supreme Court “legislated” from the bench the landmark Roe v. Wade decision. Since 1973, there have been 1.5 million deaths attributed to this landmark decision.

The Freedom of Choice Act is a bill intended to allow the abortion industry permeate every aspect of society. It was promised by President-elect Obama to be the first piece of legislature he will sign after his inauguration. Here is what FOCA will do. FOCA eliminates regulations that protect women from unsafe abortion clinics. FOCA forces taxpayers to fund abortions. FOCA requires all states to allow “partial birth” and other late-term abortions. FOCA subjects women to abortions by non-physicians. FOCA violates the conscience rights of nurses, doctors and hospitals. FOCA strips parents of their right to be involved in their minor daughters’ abortion decision.

Just as Pharaoh sought the destruction of God’s people, Satan wants to kill and destroy lives today. I believe abortion to be a tool of Satan to wreck havoc in men and women’s lives. The guilt of an abortion is tremendous. Women carry that sorrow and guilt for years. I have witnessed lives ruined because of a senseless and selfish choice.

Because of a policy of a great government, there is hope! Not the kind offered by politicians, but the kind only God can give!

Notice…

The PRINCIPLES of a Godly People in verses 17-19.

My friend and former co-worker, Charlie Brown (yes, that is his name), stated several times, “Even in a sewer, the cream will always rise to the top.” The cream of God’s people does rise to the top or occasion. They did it by doing three things.

First, they REVERED God’s law in 17a.

They respected God and did not want to disappoint Him. They had a lofty view of sin and a lofty view of God. Because we were created in the image of God, they had an exalted view and respect for life!

God’s Word always precedes man’s edicts. It is never wrong to do right…even if it costs us our life. We should never fear if God places His hand upon us but rather fear if He takes His hand off of our lives!

Second, they REJECTED man’s law in 17b.

Shiphrah and Puah knew there was a higher law than man’s law. They feared the consequences of disobeying God more than they feared Pharaoh.

To some, this passage is difficult because it appears they lied to Pharaoh. What they didn’t do is tell everything they knew. Our purpose in life is to save lives. Corrie ten Boom and her family lied to the Nazi’s in order to save lives. Oskar Schindler lied and deceived the Germans to save Jewish lives. They rejected Pharaoh’s scheming designs.

Then, they RESISTED a bad law in 18-19.

My dad told me repeatedly several years ago, “There is more than one way to skin a cat.” One does not have to lie when faced with a moral dilemma. What one believes will always be revealed in what they believe about God.

Illustration - Abortionist Says Life Only Matters if It Is Wanted

The head of a leading abortion provider has admitted that the embryo is a human life but says its value is “relative” to the wishes of its mother.

Ann Furedi, the Chief Executive of the British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS), made her comments during a debate in Oxford last month.

The question, Mrs Furedi argued, was “not, when does human life begin? but, when does it really begin to matter?”.

This, she said, could only be weighed up “as being relative to the woman who is carrying it”.

She admitted that “the embryo is a living thing”, and that it “is clearly human in the sense that it’s not a gerbil”, but stopped short of according it the same status as “a born person”.

She said: “Obviously we couldn’t allow abortion if we accepted that fetal life had the same degree of value as born human life, and I don’t believe that it does.”

She said that modern society required women to be able to plan when they have children, and said: “Abortion stands as a back-up to birth control, and this is very important for us.”

Some view God as non-existent, uninvolved and detached or supremely active in our lives. It is not hard to see what some believe.

Then in Exodus 1:20-22 we find…

The PRAISE of a Good Decision.

God honors those who exalt Him. our focus is to be on honoring Him in obedience. Note the praise from God.

First, there were the BLESSINGS of God in verse 20.

It is noted that God dealt well with the mid-wives. We are not told how He blessed them, only that He did bless them. The ultimate blessings we receive will be when we stand in His presence praising and rejoicing in His glory!

In verse 21, there was the BOUNTY from God.

It appears that mid-wives did not normally have a family. Perhaps it was because they did not have children they were able to perform their responsibilities. Regardless, God provided them a family.

Just when you don’t think things can get any worse, we find the BONDAGE of man in verse 22.

I have learned never to ask, “Can things get any worse?” Sometimes things do get worse before they get better! Pharaoh went from literally working them to death, to slaying the first-born sons treacherously. Having failed in that, He openly conveyed his intentions to all.

Planned Parenthood Celebration Jolted by Abortion Survivor

by Ted Harvey, assistant minority leader, Colorado House

She sings the anthem to applause, then her secret is revealed to stunned silence.

I want to share with you an awesome experience I had in the Colorado House of Representatives on May 8. It is a humbling experience to look back and realize that God used me to play a role in His divine orchestration.

I was leaving the House chambers for the weekend when our Democrat speaker of the House announced that the coming Monday would be the final day of this year’s General Assembly. He went on to state that there were still numerous resolutions on the calendar which we would need to be addressed prior to the summer adjournment. Interestingly, he specifically mentioned that one of the resolutions we would be hearing was being carried by the House Majority Leader Alice Madden, honoring the 90th anniversary of Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains.

As a strong pro-life legislator I was disgusted by the idea that we would pass a resolution honoring this 90-year legacy of genocide. I drove home that night wondering what I could say that might pierce the darkness during the debate on this heinous resolution.

On Saturday morning, I took my 8-year-old son up to the mountains to go white-water rafting. The trip lasted all day. As we were driving home, exhausted and hungry, I remembered that I had accepted an invitation to attend a fundraising dinner that night for a local pro-life organization. One of my most respected mentors had personally called me several weeks earlier and asked me to attend, so I knew I’d have to clean up and head over.

After our meal, the executive director of the organization introduced the keynote speaker. I looked up and saw walking to the stage a handicapped young lady being assisted to the microphone by a young man holding a guitar.

Her name was Gianna Jessen.

Gianna said "Hello," welcomed everyone, and then sang three of the most beautiful Christian songs I have ever heard.

She then began to give her testimony. When her biological mother was 17 years old and seven and a half months pregnant, she went to a Planned Parenthood clinic to have an abortion. As God would have it, the abortion failed and a beautiful 2-pound baby girl was brought into the world. Unfortunately, she was born with cerebral palsy and the doctors thought that she would never survive. The doctors were wrong.

Imagine the timing! A survivor of a Planned Parenthood abortion arrived in town just days before the Colorado House of Representatives was to celebrate Planned Parenthood’s "wonderful" work.

As I listened to Gianna’s amazing testimony, the Lord inspired me to ask her if she could stay in Denver until Monday morning so that I could introduce her on the floor of the House and tell her story. Perhaps she could even begin the final day’s session by singing our country’s national anthem!

To my surprise she said she would seriously consider it. If she were to agree, she wanted her accompanying guitarist to stay as well. A lady standing in line behind me waiting to meet Gianna overheard our conversation and said that she would be willing to pay for the guitarist’s room. Gianna then said that she would think about it.

As I was driving home from the banquet, my cell phone rang. It was Gianna, and she immediately said, "I’m in, let’s ruin this celebration." Praise God!

When Monday morning came, I awoke at 6 a.m. to write my speech before heading to the Capitol. As I wrote down the words, I could sense God’s help and I knew that this was going to be a powerful moment for the pro-life movement.

Following a committee hearing, I rushed into the House chambers just as the opening morning prayer was about to be given. Between the prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance, I wrote a quick note to the speaker of the House explaining that Gianna is an advocate for cerebral palsy. I took the note to the speaker and asked if I could have my friend open the last day of session by singing the national anthem. Without any hesitation the speaker took the microphone and said, "Before we begin, Representative Harvey has made available for us Gianna Jessen to sing the national anthem."

Gianna sang the most amazing rendition of The Star Spangled Banner that you could possibly imagine. Every person in the entire chamber was completely still, quiet and in awe of this frail young lady’s voice.

Due to her cerebral palsy, Gianna often loses her balance, and shortly after starting to sing she grabbed my arm to stabilize herself, and I could tell that she was shaking. Suddenly, midway through the song, she forgot the words and began to hum and then said, "Please forgive me; I am so nervous." She then immediately began singing again and every House member and every guest throughout the chambers began to sing along with her to give her encouragement and to lift her up.

As I looked around the huge hall I listened to the unbelievable melody of Gianna’s voice being accompanied by a choir of over 100 voices. I had chills running all over my body, and I knew that I had just witnessed an act of God.

As the song concluded the speaker of the House explained that Gianna has cerebral palsy and is an activist to bring awareness to the disease. "Let us give her a hand not only for her performance today, but also for her advocacy work," he said. The chamber immediately exploded into applause -- she had them all in the palm of her hand.

The speaker then called the House to order, and we proceeded as usual to allow members to make any announcements or introductions of guests. For dramatic effect, I waited until I was the last person remaining before I introduced Gianna.

As I waited for my turn, I nervously paced back and forth praying to God that he would give me the peace, confidence and the courage necessary to pull off what I knew would be one of the most dramatic and controversial moments of my political career.

While I waited, a prominent reporter from one of the major Denver newspapers walked over to Gianna and told her that her rendition captured the spirit of the national anthem more powerfully than any she had ever heard before.

Finally, I was the last person remaining. So, I proceeded to the microphone and began my speech.

Members, I would like to introduce you to a new friend and hero of mine -- her name is Gianna Jessen. She is visiting us today from Nashville, Tennessee, where she is an accomplished recording artist.

She has cerebral palsy and was raised in foster homes before being adopted at the age of four. She was born prematurely and weighed only 2 pounds at birth. She remained in the hospital for almost three months. A doctor once said she had a great will to live and that she fought for her life. Eventually she was able to leave the hospital and be placed in foster care.

Because of her cerebral palsy, her foster mother was told that it was doubtful that she would ever crawl or walk. She could not sit up independently. Through the prayers and dedication of her foster mother, she eventually learned to sit up, crawl, then stand. Shortly before her fourth birthday, she began to walk with leg braces and a walker.

She continued in physical therapy and after a total of four surgeries, she was able to walk without assistance.

She still falls sometimes, but she says she has learned how to fall gracefully after falling for 29 years.

Two years ago, she walked into a local health club and said she wanted a private trainer. At the time her legs could not lift 30 pounds. Today she can leg press 200 pounds.

She became so physically fit that she began running marathons to raise money and awareness for cerebral palsy. She just returned last week from England where she ran in the London Marathon. It took her more than eight-and-a-half hours to complete. They were taking down the course by the time she made it to the finish line. But she made it, nonetheless. With bloody feet and aching joints, she finished the race.

Members would you help me recognize a modern-day hero -- Gianna Jessen?

At this point the chamber exploded into applause which lasted for 15-to-20 seconds. Gianna had touched their souls.

Ironically, Alice Madden, the majority leader and sponsor of the Planned Parenthood resolution, walked over to Gianna and congratulated her.

As the applause began to die down, I raised my hand to be recognized one more time.

Mr. Speaker, members, if you would allow me just a few more moments I would appreciate your time.

My name is Ted Harvey, not Paul Harvey, but, please, let me tell you the rest of the story.

The cause of Gianna’s cerebral palsy is not because of some biological freak of nature, but rather the choice of her mother.

You see when her biological mother was 17-years-old and 7-and-a-half months pregnant, she went to a Planned Parenthood clinic to seek a late-term abortion. The abortionist performed a saline abortion on this 17-year-old girl. This procedure requires the injection of a high concentration of saline into the mother’s womb, which the fetus is then bathed in and swallows, which results in the fetus being burned to death, inside and out. Within 24 hours the results are normally an induced, still-born abortion.

As Gianna can testify, the procedure is not always 100 percent effective. Gianna is an aborted late-term fetus who was born alive. The high concentration of saline in the womb for 24 hours resulted in a lack of oxygen to her brain and is the cause of her cerebral palsy.

Members, today, we are going to recognize the 90th anniversary of Rocky Mountain Planned Parenthood…"

BANG! The gavel came down.

Just as I was finishing the last sentence of my speech -- the climax of the morning -- the speaker of the House gaveled me down and said, "Representative Harvey, I will allow you to continue your introduction, but not for the purposes of debating a measure now pending before the House."

At which point I said, "Mr. Speaker, I understand. I just wanted to put a face to what we are celebrating today."

Silence.

Deafening silence.

I then walked back to my chair shaking like a leaf. The Democrats wouldn’t look at me. They were fuming. It was beautiful. I have been in the Legislature for five tough years, and this made it all worthwhile.

The House majority leader wouldn’t talk to me the rest of the day.

Was it because I introduced an abortion survivor, or was it because we touched her soul? She could congratulate an inspirational cerebral palsy victim and advocate, but was outraged when she discovered that the person she congratulated was also an abortion survivor.

The headline in The Denver Post the next day read "Abortion Jab Earns Rebuke." The majority leader is quoted as saying, "I think it was amazingly rude to use a human being as an example of his personal politics."

Yes, Representative Madden, Gianna Jessen is a human being. She was when she was in her mother’s womb, and she was when she sang the national anthem on the floor of the Colorado House of Representatives.

The paper went on to quote Gianna, stating she was glad I told her story.

"We need to discuss the humanity of it. I’m glad to be able to speak up for children in the womb," she said. "If abortion is about women’s rights, where were my rights?"

All I can say is, "Glory to God!" He orchestrated it all, every minute of it, and I was so honored to have been chosen to play a part. May we all continue to be filled with and to fight for the passion of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Abortion Survivor’s Dramatic Appearance in the Colorado House of Representatives-Truth!

Summary of the eRumor:

A first-person account from Ted Harvey of the Colorado House of Representatives. He is a pro-life Republican. On a day when the House was going to pass a resolution marking the 90th anniversary of Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, he introduced a special guest who charmed the representatives with her presence and her singing. She was Gianna Jesson, a young singer from Nashville who has cerebral palsy. What Harvey did not say until the very end is that she is an abortion survivor.

The Truth:

This political turning of the tables by Ted Harvey actually happened in the Colorado House of Representatives in May, 2006.

Gianna Jesson has become a popular singer and speaker who shares her story of having survived a late term abortion in Southern California in 1977. She says her mother was advised by abortion counselors to have the procedure even though she was 7 1/2 months pregnant. The method used was a saline abortion in which a salt solution is introduced into the womb to kill the baby and induce a delivery. Jesson says she was in the solution for 18 hours but survived and instead of being aborted, she was delivered alive. Because of oxygen depravation in the procedure she has cerebral palsy but was reared in foster care and then an adoptive home and has lived an ambitious life.

Through the years, experience has taught me that how you treat others will always come back on you. It is no different here.

Pharaoh wanted the destruction of the Israelites. His own people were eventually destroyed. He wanted the genocide of all male new-born. His own first born children died. He opposed the God of the Hebrews and his gods were defeated.

IF I was a betting Baptist (and I’m not), I would never bet against God. Jesus came to seek and save those who are lost. He restores broken lives and rebuilds them to His specifications and for His glory!

Perhaps you have experienced the brokenness of an abortion. You may be either male or female. Guilt is no respecter of persons. Jesus has the forgiveness you seek and the hope you need! Ask Him to cleanse you and forgive you of your sin. Ask Him to do what only God can do.
