Changes Made By The Holy Ghost

14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)

One hundred and twenty dedicated Christian disciples gathered in an upper room in Jerusalem waiting on the promise of the Holy Ghost to empower them. It was a promise of power that changed them dramatically.

It changed the Sons of Thunder to ministers of love. It changed an impulsive Peter to one who was guided by the Holy Ghost. The fearful became brave, the blundering speakers were anointed with tongues of fire which transcended language barriers therefore eliminating confusion.

Those who were depending on God suddenly were aware that the Kingdom of Heaven was in their hearts. (Luke 17:20)

Those that mourned were comforted. (John 14:16)

The meek knew that they would inherit the earth. (The world is my ball park)

(Matthew 5:5)

Those hungering for righteousness were filled. (Philippians 1:11)

The unmerciful became ministers of mercy. (Acts 3:6)

All corruption of heart was cleansed and with the cleansing, the eyes of faith saw God in the form of the Holy Ghost the third Person of the Trinity. (Acts 2:37-47)

They were now peacemakers—helping those away from God to find peace with Him.

In addition to the power to have all of the above they were no longer afraid to endure persecution. Because they knew that they were going to be with the Lord at the close of their lives.

There was no division among them. Their zeal to proclaim the Gospel was unaffected by any worldly opposition. (Acts 3:46)

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; Acts 3:19 (KJV)

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. Acts 2:37-39 (KJV)
