ENOUGH/SUFFICIENT... IS ENOUGH ENOUGH?

B. I had a friend in Nebraska that said he was reading a local newspaper. It said:
MAN, 58, WOULD LIKE TO MARRY A LADY IN HER 30’S --- WITH A TRACTOR.
PLEASE SEND A PICTURE OF THE TRACTOR.
II. IN THE USA WE TEND TO LIVE ON CREDIT?
DO I HAVE ENOUGH? HOW MUCH IS ENOUGH?
IS ENOUGH FOR TODAY ENOUGH FOR TOMORROW?
A. Remember POPEYE’S friend, Wimpy?
His line was this: I WILL GLADLY REPAY YOU TUESDAY FOR A
HAMBURGER TODAY?
B. Many people of God learned to live on credit:
Jonah? Samson? Saul? Achan? Lot’s wife? Judas? Demus?
C. DEFINE:
1. FINITE:
Limited, bounded, restricted,
2. INFINITE:
To know no bounds, very great, limitless, endless
3. SUFFICE, SUFFICIENT, SUFFICIENCY:
To meet the needs of...
Enough or adequate.
Satisfy
Luke 14:28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
D. HUMAN REASONING HAS LIMITATIONS AND BOUNDS...
What we see are temporal and finite...
E. There is a GREAT LIGHT THAT MOVES IN THE SPIRITUAL AND ETERNAL REALMS
THAT ANSWERS NOT TO HUMAN REASONING...
F. THERE IS A MOVE OF GOD BEYOND THE LAWS AND LIMIT BOUNDS OF
A MAN’S KNOWLEDGE.
III. MISSING CAN NOT STOP THE SUFFICIENT HAND OF GOD...
MOSES CAME TO A HARD PLACE WITH 600,000 MEN NOT COUNTING THE WOMEN AND
CHILDREN... AND THEIR FOOD SOURCE WAS GONE... NOW WHAT WILL WE DO?
THE LESSON IS THAT GOD WILL SUFFICE EVERY NEED...
A. GOD CALLED MOSES, GOD’S CALL WILL ENABLE GOD’S POWER TO RELEASE GOD’S
PLAN AND WORK TO DO BEYOND THE REASONING ABILITY OF A MAN’S MIND...
B. Yes, the need was beyond human ability to respond to the need...
God wanted the people to LEARN TO LEAN TO HIS POWER...
C. Human minds reason: WHERE CAN WE GET THE FOOD FOR THESE PEOPLE FOR A MONTH?
Let us worry and fret and we still have no VISIBLE MEANS OF SUPPORT...
Numbers 11:21 And Moses said, The people, among whom I am, are six hundred thousand footmen; and thou hast said, I will give them flesh, that they may eat a whole month.
[22] Shall the flocks and the herds be slain for them, to suffice them? or shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to suffice them?
D. THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY ASSURES MOSES AND THEN REASSURES HIM AGAIN,
THIS PROBLEM DID NOT JUST HAPPEN OVER NIGHT --- GOD IS IN CONTROL...
GOD HAS A PLAN --- TRUST THE PLAN...
[23] And the Lord said unto Moses, Is the Lord’s hand waxed short? thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not.
E. God’s plan will always RELEASE GOD’S WORD...
THE WORD OF GOD WILL DO THE WORK OF GOD...
F. 70 MEN ARE AVAILABLE AND HELPERS TO GOD’S MEN...
THE SPIRIT OF GOD WILL HELP US CLAIM THE WORD’S WORK!
Numbers 11:25 And the Lord came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease.
G. GOD WILL ABSOLUTELY PROVE HIS WORD, OF THE 70 MEN,
TWO MEN WERE PLAYING HOOKEY...
ONLY 68 MEN WERE THERE WHEN THE SPIRIT OF SUFFICIENCY FELL...
H. THE OTHER TWO MEN: ELDAD AND MEDAD WERE IN THE CAMP...
THE SPIRIT OF SUFFICIENCY FELL ON THE 68 AND THE 2...
Numbers 11:26 But there remained two of the men in the camp, the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad: and the spirit rested upon them; and they were of them that were written, but went not out unto the tabernacle: and they prophesied in the camp.
[27] And there ran a young man, and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad do prophesy in the camp.
IV. YOU EVER READ A BANK STATEMENT THAT SAID: INSUFFICIENT FUNDS?
GOD HAS NEVER HAD INSUFFICIENT FUNDS... YET GOD’S PEOPLE CAN GO THERE...
GOD WANTS US TO EVER MAINTAIN A DEPENDANCY ON HIS WORD... HIS TOUCH...
Philip. 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
A. We need FRESH OIL, NEW ANOINTING...
B. We try what worked yesterday to find: THIS DOESN’T WORK TODAY...
C. We call this TRANSFERRED ANOINTING: We sang: I’ll fly away, and every one got happy.
So we sing the same song for 10 more services?
Exodus 16:21 And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun waxed hot, it melted.
D. You can not live on YESTERDAY’S MANNA --- OLD MANNA HAD PROTEIN IN IT... WORMS...
V. IN A GREAT TIME OF DESPAIR AND NEED NAOMI AND RUTH FOUND A MYSTERIOUS
LEADING TO THE SUFFICIENT!
A. NAOMI COMES HOME BITTER --- EMPTY AND HURT...
THERE IS A TIME THAT WINTER MUST YIELD TO SPRING...
DEPRESSION OF THE SPIRIT MUST YIELD TO A NEW HOPE THAT SPRINGS FROM WITHIN...
What may seem beyond expression today will grow into SEASONS OF REFRESHING...
B. SPEAK WORDS OF FAITH...
Ruth 2:2 And Ruth the Moabitess said unto Naomi, Let me now go to the field, and glean ears of corn after him in whose sight I shall find grace. And she said unto her, Go, my daughter.
C. Ruth does find faith by GRACE: THERE IS ENOUGH... THERE IS MORE THAN ENOUGH...
Ruth 2:14 And Boaz said unto her, At mealtime come thou hither, and eat of the bread, and dip thy morsel in the vinegar. And she sat beside the reapers: and he reached her parched corn, and she did eat, and was sufficed, and left.
Ruth 2:18 And she took it up, and went into the city: and her mother in law saw what she had gleaned: and she brought forth, and gave to her that she had reserved after she was sufficed.
VI. REMEMBER GOD’S WORD IS SUFFIENCT! THE WORD OF GOD IS DAILY BREAD ---
NOT BIRTHDAY CAKE!
A. Today there is a lack of respect and knowledge of the word of God.
Rev. 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
B. I am told there has been over 1,000 changes to the book of Mormons since they first published it?
Medicine changes? Science teaching’s change... God’s word is true.
Deut. 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
C. THERE IS POWER IN GOD’S WORD.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
D. GOD’S WORD IS MORE THAN A MAN’S PEN...

2 Tim. 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
E. THE PRIMARY CAUSE OF THE CHURCH’S LEANNESS AND ANEMIC POWER IS
A LACK OF KNOWING GOD’S WORD.
Matthew 22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
VII. THERE IS MORE THAN SUFFICIENT POWER IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS.
THERE IS POWER, POWER --- WONDER WORKING POWER IN THE BLOOD...
A. Many years ago there was BLOOD LETTING PRACTICED in barber shops.
B. Many today would like to do away with the BLOOD, blood is the life flow of life.
C. I give blood every 54 days to help another in need.
Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
Matthew 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
1 Peter 1:18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
[19] But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
D. What can wash away my sins?
What can make me whole again?
For my pardon this I see!
For my cleansing this my plea!
This is all my hope and peace!
This is all my righteousness!
VIII. WE WILL FACE SUFFICIENT TROUBLE, BUT WE SERVE A MORE THAN SUFFICIENT
GOD...
A. DON’T FORGET WHERE HOME REALLY IS...
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
[34] Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
B. GOD’S SPIRIT IS A GREAT TEACHER, LEADER, GUIDE, IN DANGER HE HIDES...
Zech. 4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.
Zech. 4:10 For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the Lord, which run to and fro through the whole earth.
C. God will pick WEAK THINGS and SHOW HIS STUFF...
2 Cor. 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
1 Cor. 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation
also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
D. GOD WILL PULL YOU THROUGH IF YOU CAN STAND THE PULL.
E. IT IS ALWAYS TOO SOON TO QUIT. GET UP AND TRY AGAIN.
CONCLUSION:
REMEMBER HEAVEN! DON’T FORGET YOUR CALLING!
THIS TOO SHALL PASS... JOY COMES IN THE MORNING...
THERE IS A CROWN OF LIFE AND A CROWN OF GLORY.
