Putting Off Negatives and Putting on Positives (Eph. 4:22-32)
"Strip yourselves of your former nature (put off and discard your old unrenewed self) which characterized your previous manner of life and becomes corrupt through lusts and desires that spring from delusions.
And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind (having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude)
And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God’s image (Godlike) in true righteousness, holiness and truth." (Eph. 4:22-24)
The following list will help you deliberately put off what is hurtful and to put on a renewing spiritual mindset:
1. Pride with Humility (I Pet. 5:5,6)
2. Personal pleasures with His pleasures (Psa. 16:9-11)
3. People pleasing with His approvals (I Cor. 4:3,4)
4. Pressures with biblical transformations (Rom. 12:1,2)
5. Performance orientation with obedience thinking (Josh. 1:8,9)
6. Personal privileges with thankfulness (I Thes. 5:16-18)
7. Power obsessions with yieldness (Rom. 12:1)
8. Panic with calm (Isa 26:3)
9. Preoccupations with thinking about things above (Col. 3:1-4)
10. Possessiveness with submission (James 4:7,8)
11. Problem orientation with solution thinking (Luke 1:37)
12. Persons and political orientation with Christ centeredness (Heb. 12:1-3)
13. Pollution of the mind with guarding the truth (2 Tim. 1:13-16)
14. Perversion with purity and truth (John 17:17)
15. Presumptuousness with submssion to His sovereignty (Job 42:1-6)
16. Provocations with count it all joy (James 1:2-5)
17. Perplexed with asking for God’s wisdom (James 1:5)
18. Prayerlessness with prayerfulness (Phil. 4:6,7)
19. Poor choices with wise discernment (Phil. 1:9-11)
20. Program orientation with seeking spiritual wisdom (Col. 1:9-11)
21. Pity for ourselves with rejoicing (I Thes.5:16-18)
22. Poor health with His grace is sufficient (2 Cor. 12:9,10)
23. Pyrrhic victories with faith is the victory (I John 5:4,5)
24. Persecutions with blessed to be identified with the prophets (Matt 5:13,14)
25. Prosperity oriented with contentment (Phil. 4:12)
26. Poor stigma with promotions from God (I Cor. 4:4-8)
27. Powers of darkness overwhelmed with taking up the full armor of God (Eph. 6:10-18)
28. Pharisaical orientation with living by grace (Gal. 3:10-18)
29. Power hungry with blessed are the meek (Matt 5:8-10)
30. Provoked easily with love is not easily irritated (I Cor. 13:4-7)
31. Production oriented with service oriented (Mark 10:45)
32. Prodigal son rebellions with obedience (John 14:21)
33. Passivity with not being merely a hearer but a doer of His word (James 1:22)
34. Popularity with fear of the Lord (Psa. 112:1,2)
35. Plaudit oriented with seeking not applause or greatness for one’s self (Jer. 9:23,24)
36. Political ambitions with seeking first His kingdom (Matt.6:33,34)
37. Personal agenda with not my will but your will be done. (Matt. 6:6-10)
38. Philosophy oriented with wisdom comes from God (Col. 2:3)
39. Personal temptations with choosing His ways of escape (I Cor. 10:13)
40. Personal plans with willing to do His will (John 7:17)
41. Put downs on others with putting on a heart of compassion, tender-hearted, forgiving one another (Eph. 4:28-32)
42. Postmodernism with continuing and knowing the truth of Christ so that it will set you free (John 8:31,32)
43. Pain oriented with joy of the Lord as our strength oriented (Neh 8:10)
44. Problem-people oriented with make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love (Phil. 2:1-5)
45. Porcupine Defensiveness with love is not easily offended (I Cor. 13:4-7)
46. Put down oriented with indefagible resilence (2 Cor. 6:6-10)
47. Possessiveness with I surrender all to Jesus (Rom. 11:33-36)
48. Possessions with confidence in God’s ability to supply all our needs (Matt. 6:24-34)
49. Pickiness with generosity (Phil. 4:19)
50. Petulance with love is patient and kind (Gal. 5:22,23)
51. Pessimissm with confident trust and hope in God and His ability to deliver (Psalm 42:1-6; Psalm 37)
The will of God will never take you where the grace of God will not provide for you.
