Summary: Let me say once again that these 4 horses and riders that we read about here are not real horses or real riders; these horses symbolize conditions and not individuals, although the rider on the white horse is a reference to the Antichrist.

REV.#19~6:1-2=pt2 THE 4 HORSES AND RIDERS 8-22-09

Today we’ll continue our study of Rev. we’re here in 6: and the Lamb, the Lord Jesus is beginning to open the seals.

The Church is removed from the earth in 4:1-2, and then we have a scene in heaven that we will be present at, at the same time chapter 6 is underway, this great Politician, this great Military minded man, this man with such a silk tongue comes on the scene with all the answers for the problems of the day, he’ll be welcomed with opened arms, he is the great deceiver, the Antichrist.

--------------

John was an eyewitness of this revelation that came to him much as action scenes in a film

instead than as words from the pages of a book.

The order of events predicted in Revelation 6 is similar to the order Jesus predicted in the

Olivet Discourse in Matt.24:

Matt.24: shines much light on the further revelation that God gave John about this future

time.

Later in the Olivet Discourse Jesus mentioned an event that occurs at the middle of

Daniel’s seventieth week,** namely, the abomination of desolation (Dan. 9:27; Matt. 24:15;

when the statue of the Antichrist is seen in the Temple of God there in Jerusalem, that is

the 3 ½ year mark of the Tribulation, the last 3 ½ years is what is known as the Great

Tribulation.

So consequently the events that He described before the midpoint, {the 1st 3 ½ years}

namely, those of the first six seals, will probably occur in the first half of the Tribulation.

Jesus referred to this three and one-half year period as the “beginning of birth-pangs”

(Matt. 24:8;

----------------------------

The first four seals seem to belong together (6:1-8).

(1) Each is introduced by one of the four living creatures (6:1, 3, 5, 7).

(2) Each seal is preceded with a call to “Come.”

(3) Each seal contains the image of a horse and rider (6:2, 4, 5, 8).5

(4) In each of the seals there is a progression of meaning given for each of the four seals: and they are—‘white horse” conquering,-** “red horse” making war,**-“black horse” famine,** and death and hell, “pale horse”

Let me say once again that these 4 horses and riders that we read about here are not real horses or real riders; these horses symbolize conditions and not individuals, although the rider on the white horse is a reference to the Antichrist.

The Lamb opens these seals, the Lord Jesus Christ.

We left of last time with verses 1-2 0f chapter 6: , the rider on this white horse, is a reference to the Antichrist.

We’ve already commented on these 2 verses last time, but I want to say a few more things, there are some great truths here. -- Listen as I read verses 1-2 again.

------------------------------------

1And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.

As the Lamb opens the 1st seal John hears as it were the noise of thunder.

~~The “noise of thunder” is symbolic of judgment, as a coming storm. It is a noise of terror, and judgment! --The command given is by the 1st beast, “Come and see.”

---------

In 6:2, a rider came riding on a white horse with a bow and a crown for the purpose of conquering. This is the great political leader, the Antichrist.

2And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

It seems that this rider threatens war but it never occurs.

I personally think that a strong and exceeding powerful military force is the best way to have peace, because then most of our enemies are simply afraid that they’d be destroyed.

But some of our leaders in Washington have cut back on defense spending; they’d rather spend millions on preserving a rat species in California.

“White” symbolizes righteousness and holiness, which of coarse this man is any thing but righteous and holy, he is an imitator. -- When men wage war they always pretend to be fighting for righteousness.

The bow, mentioned here in verse 2 without a reference to arrows, does not necessarily mean, that the rider is going about in “peaceful conquest”, and by using diplomacy there is no bloodshed. –That is what most of us have been taught down through the years, simply because we’re not told that he has arrows. –Listen--

Ø The bow in scripture is seen, as a symbol of hunting or of warfare, just because we see “bow” mentioned here alone with out arrows being mentioned does not mean that he’ll not go forth with a violent conquest.

Notice nothing is said about arrows, only his bow.

Some of us like to deer hunt with our bow and also our rifles, but we don’t get in a tree without our arrows or our bullets, unless of coarse we forget them and I’m sure this has happened.

No weapon is very dangerous without ammo, we believe he’ll certainly be armed; he’ll soon have the vast Revived Roman Empire with all its military power backing him.-later we read in

Revelation 13:4-- Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

-------

Listen--

Isaiah 41: 2 tells us about a man named Cyrus, and let me point out that God mentions him by name about 200 years before he was ever born. He’s not named until 44:28

The righteous man from the east is a reference to Cyrus the Great of Persia (558–529 b.c.).

2Who raised up the righteous man from the east, called him to his foot, gave the nations before him, and made him rule over kings? he gave them as the dust to his sword, and as driven stubble to his bow. Notice- nothing is said about Cyrus having arrows, only his bow.—I assure you Cyrus had arrows.

1 Kings 22:34 And a certain man drew a bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel between the joints of the harness: wherefore he said unto the driver of his chariot, Turn thine hand, and carry me out of the host; for I am wounded.**

He did not become wounded with a bow firing blanks dear heart.

1 Chronicles 5:18 The sons of Reuben, and the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men able to bear buckler and sword, and to shoot with bow,--**

Again arrows are not mentioned.

----------

2And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

So just because arrows are not mentioned here in this verse to do with the Antichrist don’t necessarily mean, he don’t have any.

-----------

He also has a “crown.” God allows him to receive this crown. The sovereign God is the only One who can give rulers authority to rule.

Romans 13:1-- For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

~Jesus will rule this world one day with a Rod of Iron, what every He say’s is the way it will be. ~

This crown represents his world dictatorship.

The Greek word for crown in verse 2 is Stephanas, which means "the victor’s crown." –he’ll be victorious only as long as God allows him to be.

The Greek word for crown that Jesus Christ wears is diadema, "the kingly crown" (19:12). Antichrist could never wear the diadem, because it belongs only to the Son of God.

We also notice that in verse 2 that this crown was given unto him:

He does nothing really to merit this crown, it’s given to him, people will be so star struck by his way with words and his convincing manner that the people will simple make him their leader.—and let me say that the mess we see around the world today, if some one came on the scene with the answers to all these problems he’d be welcomed with open arms.

--------------------John sees the whole process of judgment under the control of God. The conqueror**[antichrist] has only what power Almighty God allows him to have. God is completely sovereign so we need not to worry; He has every thing under control.

-----------------

Ø Paul said this concerning this [man of sin].

2 Thess. 2:1-12 1Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. –Some one had evidently written a letter to the people pretending it was Paul, so Paul is warning them here not to believe them, the day of the Lord was not at hand yet.

3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first,*[ there’s no doubt today that the falling away has been under way for some time, falling away from the true word of God, from settled Bible doctrines, ordaining Sodomites, same sex marriage, so called women preachers, and much much more.]

3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; ***[Judas] John 17: 12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

Also Paul called the “man of sin” the son of perdition, Jesus called Judas “the son of perdition” –The Antichrist and Judas are the only people that is called “the son of perdition]-

In another broadcast I’ll show you why I believe Judas will come from his on place and be used again, I believe that this Antichrist may very well be Judas.

Ø Paul continues to write about the Antichrist, the man of sin.—2nd thess.2:4

4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

5Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.* [the Holy Spirit]

7For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.**[[the Holy Spirit is allowing iniquity to run its coarse}.

8And then**[but not until then] shall that Wicked* [notice the title is with a capitol W] be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

9Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth,** [ JN.14:6-I am the Truth]that they might be saved.

11And for this cause [because they rejected the Truth, the Lord Jesus] God shall send them strong delusion,*[ God will put it in their mind] that they should believe a lie: 12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Lets be aware that God is the director of ever thing that’s going on in the world, He’s allowing iniquity to run its coarse.

He can cause something to happen today that will have an effect on another happening to come at any certain time, day, month and year.

God is God and He can do what ever He so desires. It’ll be no great thing for Him to lay it on the hearts and minds of the Christ rejecters to believe ever thing that the Antichrists says, remember these are the people that are left here after the True Church is gone.

Psalm 147:5 Great is our Lord, and of great power:--

Jeremiah 32:27 Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

There are countless things you and I cannot do, but there’s nothing impossible for Him, what a Great and Wonderful God we have.

God is sitting in the heavens and laughing at these so called out standing world leaders we see today on the nightly news that think their some kind of power, how deceived they are.

Proverbs 1:26-31 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when* [not if] your fear cometh; 27When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.

28Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: 29For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: 30They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. 31Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.

When the Lord calls out His True Church the day of grace will be over, the wrath of the Lamb is on it’s way.
