Summary: We sometimes need to be alone with God

Verse 4-Shut The Door

Mark 5:40- Raise from the dead the little daughter of the ruler of the synagogue after he put out every body.

Acts 9:40-Peter put everybody out and prayed for Dorcas and she rose from the dead.

If you really want something from God, then enter into your closet and talk to your Father in secret and He’ll reward you openly!

We need to shut the door to be alone with God, to get away from all the distractions that get in our way from focusing on Him.

It’s amazing how many people want God to change their life, but are completely unwilling to be obedient to the instruction’s He gives in order for change to take place.

If this woman heard the command but did nothing her needs would not have been Meet!!

James 2:17, “Faith without works is dead.” YOU CANNOT SEPARATE THE TWO.

You and Your Sons

OUR CHILDREN NEED TO SEE US PRAY!

THEY NEED TO SEE US READING OUR BIBLE!

THEY NEED TO HEAR FROM US, THAT WHEN WE HAVE A PROBLEM WE SHOULD ALWAYS SEEK GOD FIRST!

WHAT WE DO IS WHAT OUR CHILDREN WILL LEARN TO DO!

Verse 5-6-Vessels Are Full!

Ephesians 3:20-Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

2 Corinthians 4:7-But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.

2 Corinthians 4:7-We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God not from ourselves. (NLT)

Paul said that the power and the life of God are found in earthen vessels, meaning that it is contained within our bodies; therefore our bodies, or our lives, are viewed as vessels to be filled.

That is why someone can say to us, “I just don’t know how you are dealing with that problem or that situation?” It is not our strength but it is the strength that God has given us to be a witness for Him!

Brea Cream-A little dab will do you!

We have too many people in church who have that little dab’ll do me mentality!

They’re satisfied with just a touch, just enough to feel good about themselves!

They want just enough to make them happy but not enough to make them holy!

Our God is a consuming fire, and he doesn’t just want to touch you or bless you he wants to consume you!

He wants to walk through your feet ouch through your hands, speak through your lips!

One version of the Bible said-And The Oil Stayed.

What God gives last it doesn’t fade away, it accomplishes what’s purpose is!

Verse 7-Pay your debt!

How can we witness to a world around us if we don’t pay our debts!

Paying our debts is a witness unto its self! It says a lot about that person’s character!

Remember the biggest debt we owe is to God and no matter if we give of our money, our time, our talents, we can never repay for the kindness, mercy and grace that God has showed us!

This is great couple of verses to live by:

1 Timothy 6:17-19-Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
