Summary: If leadership in our famlies is vital we should talk about it. With many marriages failing we will look at how we can keep marriages together.

Leadership In the Family Text: Galatians 2:20

20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

When Paul surrendered his life to Christ, he knew that his life was no longer his own. He willingly gave up his rights and chose to become a bond slave to his Lord and Savior.

We are no different, after we give our lives to the Lord, we don’t belong to ourselves anymore. We belong to Christ. It’s not a matter of what we want to do, but of what Christ wants to do through us. Our life should be one of servitude!

When you were born again- God give you another assignment, you presently have a mandate from heaven.

A life of service toward your spouse and children: You should never pray, “Lord, bless me,” Instead, pray, “Lord, make me a blessing!”

I Corinthians 6:19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

You aren’t your own. A while back, a neighbor stopped me in my yard, and said, “I can’t understand why he tends to her, and is wasting his life?” (Some of the greatest minds in the world stopped their goals, work, and life to tend to their spouse,or children.)

Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.

Grace, has been given to you for the benefit of your family.

Romans 12:3...not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think... When you won’t lead your children, or your spouse, you are being prideful!

I have never counseled a spouse ( Regardless of fault)that didn’t have regrets over the treatment in their marriage, or their children.

Romans 12:3 ...as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.

Say, Measure. (You have a measure of faith.) Are you using your faith for your family?

Are you yielding your life to something worthwhile? You will never make a greater investment, than in your family!

Are your children acting out, or maybe even your spouse?

Attention.

Filled with bitterness.

Remedies:

Learn to listen, play.

Date again. ( They’re worth it.)

Leave your phone.

We all have been disappointed by each other.

Decide right now, to become a fruitful leader for your family.

Galatians 5:22-26 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

Decide right now, to become a spiritual leader for your family.

1 Corinthians 12:1-3 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant: 2 You know that you were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, however you were led. 3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.

You need the Mighty God, One who never changes! He can do anything for you and through you.
