Summary: The greatest Day, a Holy day, and Christ desires to share His resurrection with us.

It’s Your Resurrection Day! Matthew 28:1-6

It’s said that Winston Churchill planned his own funeral in St. Paul’s Cathedral. He included great hymns of the church. After the benediction a bugle player was positioned high in the dome played “Taps,” the universal signal that says the day is over. Next another bugle player was placed on the other side of the great dome, and he played “Reveille”- “It’s time to get up. It’s time to get up. It’s time to get up in the morning.”

Go back 3 days earlier: In Matthew 27:22 The people cried, Let Him be crucified, and in Luke 23:33 and they crucified Him.

Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. 2 And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it. 3 His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. 4 And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men. 5 But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. 6a He is not here; for He is risen, as He said.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ, was for our benefit. We have been called to live a resurrected life.

TM Colossians 1:27 The mystery in a nutshell is just this: Christ is in you, so therefore you can look forward to sharing in God's glory. It's that simple. That is the substance of our Message.
